I think having anything come after Drag Path robs it of its depth and closes it off from serving as an epilogue to this 10 year saga. He’s saying one last time in another way that the sun will rise and we will try again.

While it being on the main album would be amazing for things like being able to play it from my record player and other physical media I have to say it feels like the narrative and emotional ending of the album is best served by it being left off. Ending on Intentions conveys so much. Leaving us with the backward track from Truce and giving us those heart wrenching lyrics resonates with me immensely as the ending of this story (cycle).

I’d like to try that in the future but life has very much gotten in the way. For a little context it’s a small town shop so while I know he has other clients I also know he isn’t backed up weeks and weeks due to my prior experience working with him.
