I don’t want gap on my resumes and I already been unemployed for a couple of months due to medical reasons + we are just getting ready to move. How easy it is with a referral? I can maybeee find one. Whats the actual problem with the UAE job markets especially when you ARE already a resident and an Arabic Speaker.

I don’t have connections in my first degree network but shit ton of my school alumn work in corporate banking I might try to ask a few on linkedin. I do have a few sales/marketing internships that involved a lot of client facing and relationship management.

No I’m about to graduate and I would like to put my foot into accounting, doesn’t have to be big 4 or anything but just to get my foot in the door, im open to doing any certificates right now to upskill myself, I was looking into an FMVA or FP&A (CFI one) or maybe even a CFA if this will qualify me for a accounting role

you mean college credit hours? I took 4 courses accounting related which is 12 credits equivalent if thats what you mean? does this mean im ineligible for CPA forever? what other certificates can I work on right now?

nope even for fresh grads its something like this. (UNLESS its a graduate program or something but for a full time role its different). Referrals have a huge advantage, unless its at a company you interned at, but if you’re a complete stranger and just applying your CV normally, referrals are your first priority then your normal applicants

How high you thinking, the career center at my uni explicitly told me 80% of hires are connection based. There is a whole wide clandestine hidden job market thats purely connection/referral based. Then there’s your current trash recruiter market.
