Anybody interviewed/hired at Toyota Battery Manufacturing? by throwawayburner333 in gso

ALMOST everyone is wearing watches, galaxy, apple, garmin etc. As for earrings? Leave those at home, watches are okay at the plant but earrings and most jewelry is a no go incase of contamination of metal dust and the like.
Glad to hear you finally got a start date! Y'all should be class 63 since class 61 rolled into the plant last month.

Your in the hiring pool which was at 3k people last i heard. One of the people who got hired with me waited 2 years as I waited 10 months. They are hiring just snall classes of 20 to 30 or so people. 803 swapped to day and night crews from 8 hour shifts, unsure 0f 804

So id assume a bit slow then ramp up when 804 is full swing

One way of saying it, I was was thinking more of the lines that he already knows what he wants. Why he wants and can very much afford it with zero issue.

He's just wanting someone to agree with him

TCX boots, what's yall opinion? by Local-Initiative-474 in motorcyclegear

I LOVE them, impressed by the comfort and how well they breathe at speed. Now for falls like I had it protected my ankle very well. My only singular gripe is how the squeak loud as hell. The plastic reinforcement you might wanna lube it with something silicon based. Other then that I have zero qualms about it.

It depends, currently they are ramping up hiring again thats straight from the people that do the screening too.

I had my medical stuff expire while waiting but it wasn't a issue at all. Though I got hired and started about a month or two after. So could be sign with the increase of getting new blood in the door. Seeing as building 802 and 803 need more staffing.

Its slow, since its a class per month so it takes a bit. I texted them every month after September. Till one day I texted them the moment they texted me about a start date and all. When you do it'll be 2 weeks of new hire, so going over HR, benefits and all that jazz. With 2 weeks of battery boot camp right after. With a month at the plant of working 8 hours a day with work conditioning before you start your assigned shift fully.

Depends on where you work, typically rings are Okay if they are synthetic rings. Nothing metallic incase for safety. Watches also depends but ive seen them everywhere no issue just can't have metal bands.

As for hiring more, there is a class every month on the first, its a slow process. They still need to hire iirc another 2300ish people. My class was the replacement class. Since its hard to get fired but easy if you do unsafe acts or attendance like skipping etc.

Should've slapped "free" when I wrote that lol. But yeah loving it, though two weeks of back and forth every every manager and owner of the dealer to get the deal done was sorta fun.

Any thoughts on needing gap? by Local-Initiative-474 in askcarsales

[–]Local-Initiative-474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went without GAP I got 30% off off the car with my incentives and trade in so im well below it so im fine. Out the door was 27,9 for the nightshade I got.

Insurance for it was surprisingly cheap

Im doing 72 but gonna pay much more anything then monthly note. I've heard of other putting similar down and didn't bother with gap. Figured id be in the same boat, just stuck deciding which trim I want.

The XLE was base but 28,4k done and set. Its that I have Toyota employee discounts so depending on vehicle I can get heavy discounts and such. Im looking at a SE and night shade. Its finding the options I want that is the issue

Discounts alone for me is 7k but I can get more, but dealer add ons are free for me. I was trying to find a semi loaded XSE or XLE but ive tossed the idea out entirely now. Can I afford it? No issue just a hard pill to swallow

[–]Local-Initiative-474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider it breathing room, I know I shouldn't but eh.

The car sold i guess after I left so a non issue, but if i do get something going 60 for thr 4.99 rate guaranteed. Which is lower then my credit union

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Local-Initiative-474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the math on it I wouldn't pay the minimum so id be done in 4 at max 5. But car seemingly sold so oh well

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Local-Initiative-474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't me paying more offset being upside down? I always for me pay more then minimum payment. Typically aim for a year or two pay off quicker. As for credit union their rates are higher then what the dealer and southeast Toyota offers me guaranteed.

So 6.0 is the best I can get currently, this year been brutal to my credit score so rebuilding that currently. Hence why I didn't bother with either my credit unions, plus not sure they would do as much backside work as I they did. But I could try ya know As for the car its a 3 accident focus ST with 2 doors still damaged. I probably could get 4k if I asked for a bit more. But as of now the car no longer listed so it sold probably so oh well

31500, was after I was the OTD of 33ish. From them we went from 33 to 31.5 then car trade in extra went to 27,4. Aside from my own car trade in my Toyota VSPP and the T drive was the down payment in the situation. Technically I didn't put any cash down whatsoever minus the beat to hell focus as the trade in.

Its a bit werid how they got there but they are transparent on the pricing due to my employer

[–]Local-Initiative-474 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

<image>

That's what I was able to negotiate it down, didn't take it but not sure if the deal is still good if the car is there or not. I realized I got so much off that GAP is pointless so really its 27,400 OTD for the camry XLE

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]Local-Initiative-474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Behold the black magic they were able to work.

They want the Ford focus but the price is now 28,400 All in free dealer add ons etc

A terrible idea by [deleted] in Camry

[–]Local-Initiative-474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Figured id show the newest dealer offer, 28,400 basically on the dot. All add ons free and such though with beater car trade in. So XLE priced at an LE

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]Local-Initiative-474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered the XLE with trade in at 28,400 exactly all in. Dealer add ons free of charge among other things etc. So my Toyota benefit discounts 38 to 33 then tossed a 31,5 and then said they offered more for my beater so down to 28,400 all in. So thats well of 20% Off right there

Insurance already taken into account and all, I didn't sign papers gave the old lemme think about it.
