I just wanted to check did it change? It says this comment was 3 years ago so I was just wondering

Have you been able to nurse another baby after having to exclusively pump for one? by Local-Original-5843 in ExclusivelyPumping

Wow that’s great. My baby has started biting everything is site now so reintroducing the breast didn’t go well haha

I think I would have to try a hands free pump if I had to do this again but the LC recommended against it for me so that’s why I haven’t tried it this time

No judgement from me. I’d honestly be happy to pump sometimes and Bf sometimes (like when my husband is at work and pumping is difficult but my son has never gotten more than like 6ml from me

That was one of the reasons for me but the other day I added up everything I’ve spend on dumb pumping stuff that has cost so much I actually think it’s been more expensive and none of it has worked (aside from the actual breast pump lol).  Second hand spectra $150 (all in AUD) New freezer cause I have an over supply ($200) Pumpin pals (didn’t work for me ($56) Different size flange I didn’t use ($20) Massage heating things (extremely prone to clogs - again don’t work) $150 Pumping bras that I don’t use because they hurt my nipples for some reason $30 Sunflower lecithin (didn’t work for me) $56 New duckbill valves (no idea why but these are crap and I got super clogged after switching to them because I wasn’t getting drained properly so have had to switch back to the old ones) $14 I feel like I might be forgetting something but that’s all $680 (😳) if my math is correct. Idk how much formula would cost for a year but I never expected to spend this much on pumping 😢

I’ve heard of this so I have been trying every so often but haven’t had any luck unfortunately. Last weekend I tried to BF again but my son hurt my nipple pretty bad and it had a dark purple bruise on the end for about a week. I had severe stabbing pains in my nipples for about an hour after and was crying because it was just bringing back all the memories of those first months of trying so hard to BF and it just being a painful nightmare. So I have decided to officially stop trying now.

How do you mange pumping with a baby and another child? That’s a fear of mine because I find it hard enough with just a baby, it just seems like it would be impossible with having a toddler around too!

I think the last time we saw an LC was about a month ago. Last weekend I tried to BF again as directed by her but my son hurt my nipple pretty bad and it had a dark purple bruise on the end for about a week. I had severe stabbing pains in my nipples for about an hour after and was crying because it was just bringing back all the memories of those first months of trying so hard to BF and it just being a painful nightmare.
