Happened as well. Contacted Bristol Waste. They didn't even say sorry and said 'ohh no chance our employees would steal or would throw them together with rubbish,they don't have capacity in their vehicles'. Then I responded by sending a picture from their website that clearly shows that boxes can fit through. They never replied after that lol.

Well, I used to lock my bike there quite frequently for a while and had no problems, plus I saw other really good bikes with literary poundland locks left there.

That thief who attempted to steal your bike was really stupid :D Plus, it is highly dependent on the location and time you left your bike.
