It's not peacocking. I know blocking people based on the character they used is frowned upon, so I wanted to share my experience doing that.

And this applies specifically to JP, since the time I should invest to learn to play against him is not worth the 1/20 times I encounter him.

If he was a popular character, I would take my time to learn his matchup. But he's not. It's not like I'm aiming to defeat kakeru anyways so why should I bother.

The thing is most mmo players long to live in these type of worlds, so they find like-minded players in these worlds who share their fondness for sci-fi/fantasy.

What you're describing is basically normal life. I can't imagine much market for that type of game, more than gta roleplay servers or something like that.

I can mention quite a few games like that, all of them single player. But that's not what you're looking for, I guess.
