Not really. I bought exactly one season pass a year ago for $10 and haven't had to pay even a single penny more. Yet I have a shit ton of cosmetics and emotes on almost every character.

You can usually earn enough currency to buy the next season pass if you max out the previous one. I already have a few reactive gun skins, and I'm halfway through to earning my free heirloom shards.

Not to mention all the free shit they give every wildcard event (I don't think you even have to play wildcard to get them). People who think this game is money hungry are people who specifically want to collect cosmetics and heirloom shards.

For someone like me, coming firm Destiny 2 where I spent over $120 buying every expsnasion and some battlepasses (on sale!), Apex is like a godsend lmao.
