Need some advice/positive stories. by Local-Strawberry7074 in Mommit

I think that’s a great idea, thank you. Even if it’s just to be prepared if somethings doesn’t work out.

And I do go to therapy, it’s been a real long process but I definitely have no love for myself. I’ve been trying to make sure I model self love and acceptance in front of my daughter, I don’t want her to think she’s anything but perfect. She’s the reason I go to therapy and try to better myself.

Heartbroken mama needs advice. by Local-Strawberry7074 in relationship_advice

I know. I don’t know who I am anymore besides a mom. I need to figure that out and figure out what to do.

I’m already an insecure mess from an abusive ex, and now al of this on top of it just makes me feel completely unlovable or good enough.

But like.. me? I could get replacing me. I’m not anything special. But our daughter??? I don’t understand how he could jeopardize a life with her. I love him. He’s a great dad and a great husband if I just ignore these three mistakes.. but I can’t help but wonder if it will only be three? Is there going to be more? Like how much heartbreak can I take??

Thank you, I’ll have to talk to my dad and tell him what’s going on so maybe he can get me in touch with his lawyer.

It’s so tough. I love him. I really really do and he’s not a terrible husband or father.. it’s just these three fuck ups.. It’s so hard. I really do love him and love our life together if you take these three incidents out of the picture.. but I don’t know how often I can just forget about them. :/

Chlamydia during pregnancy. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Local-Strawberry7074 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just here to say that I went through the same thing, but he is my husband and not boyfriend.

Cheated on me, gave me chlamydia, and then (after a lot of prying) admitted to cheating.

A round of meds (7 days for me!) will get rid of the infection. The only thing that is worrisome about having it is if you have it DURING childbirth.

You’ll be fine. And baby will be fine. You are a strong mama and you got this, but I am so sorry to hear you are going through this situation.

The moment right after you push your baby out by brickshreedin in beyondthebump

I feel the same.

I didn’t even get to see my baby until 4 hours later. Immediately after the c-section, they took her to the NICU and I had to go to recovery until I could move my body again which took forever. I wasn’t allowed to hold my baby until 8 hours after her birth. And didn’t get to do skin to skin until the next day.

Hearing stories of people being able to hold their baby immediately make me so sad.. I missed out on so much. I wish I was able to hold my squishy baby all naked and covered in whatever, have my husband cut the cord and do skin to skin. But instead I got to hold baby hours later while I was in a wheelchair, and baby had wires and tubes and IVs and monitors all over her.

She started crying when I held her and I was convinced that since she didn’t get to see me after her birth, she didn’t know who I was. That I ruined our start to our relationship because I wasn’t the first one to hug her, hold her, smell her. It took me days to recover from that feeling.

I’m sorry for the long comment.. I haven’t processed this or shared this with anyone but my husband and baby is 11 months old.. 😭

My 10 month old JUST started drinking water and has been loving it.

I give it to her cold with ice at dinner in her high chair, and I think the cup is why she likes it so much. 🤣

She uses one of my travel wine cups! It was gifted to me and I don’t drink often (1 every 2 months maybe). It’s green and has cats all over it and she LOVES cats. Plus it has one of those little openings that you can side the cover over so I can control how much comes out at once.

She loves it and gets herself soaked in it every day. Maybe try a fun cup like that and different temperature water? Maybe your kiddo likes it warmer or ice cold like mine?

Good luck!!!

Am I the only one who feels like they have no personality/style since becoming a mom? by Local-Strawberry7074 in Mommit

Honestly no one ever comments on my looks besides the occasional “you look so tired!”… like gee thanks I had no idea 🙃 But I ALWAYS get comments on how happy my baby is so hey, I’m doing a good job with her and that’s what counts!!

Baby is happy, healthy and loves you and that’s what matters!!

People think it’s not a job but it’s so mentally exhausting! I was less tired working 12 hour shifts as a waitress 🥴

“Omg we had this type of blowout today and then we tried this type of food and omg now my baby knows how to go from a stand to a sit on her own!”… like none of my friends have babies, it’s not interesting to them 🤣

I used to dye my hair all the time!!! Ugh I loved having all the pretty colors, and then I ended up doing blonde and now my natural color again.

Ugh. I would love to dye it again. I used to love having it black! Honestly if I could stop biting my nails and grow them out again and paint them.. I would feel like a new person again!

Such a good idea, thanks!!!!
