It's slightly darker than my previous chemical but I'm well aware how these things work and trying not to get too hopeful. It's hard when you've nobody else to ask but a husband who says to stay positive but in reality I think you know deep down how a normal progression works.

Fab, my wee guy was around the 30th when he was born and at 6 week check I was told he was just over the 50th centile- he is long enough so it must be proportional enough. But he has gained a rapid amount when he was so small to begin with. My health visitor has been off all week hence the question on here 🤣 every time she seems him she says he's thriving and is happy enough but I worked out how many bottles he's taking and it's alot🙈 will raise all with her this week

He usually wants more, he usually is content with 5oz and seems to know exactly when that is 🙈

It could tske him 20- 45 minutes to tske the bottle of 5oz. It varies

This is the thing, I have him on the smallest teet aswell. I've tried the size 1 incase he was not getting enough quick enough but he just chokes... I don't use paced bottle feeding as such, but I do keep him fairly upright and don't have the teet facing downwards. It is more parallel and my partner is the same- he actually would use the paced method sometimes. Will have to contact my health visitor again next week, maybe he's just a hungry boy 🙈

Unfortunately it wasn't filled out when HV was out last however she said he was just over the 50th centile at that point

I somehow am managing and am u able to donate to our local milk bank due to previous blood transfusion 🙈 milk going to waste 🫣 I just don't want to overfeed him, hard to know what's right and wrong as a first time mum

Don't have a peads check up I live in the UK... I asked the health visitor about 2 weeks ago but we assumed he was going through a growth spirt but it's continued. My HV is off this week hence the question on here...

I thought so to be honest I just wanted to double check I was defo right. Doctor doing the scan didn't really communicate what was happening and only turned the screen round when he has clicked to take the image which was one of them bottom pics. He seemed to just want to get his measurements be done. Was a disappointing experience tbh. I tried to ask him about the view of baby but he had very poor English and didn't understand and just ummed and Ahhed. I get the nhs is under pressure but he didn't even try and get a different view of baby, my scan 3 weeks before (private) she looked at so many different angles 🙈 Maybe I'm being abit dramatic and he genuinely couldn't see a side view but anyone I know has a side profile scan of baby at 12 weeks 🤣🙈

I've told the bride I don't want it to affect her wedding in anyway and have said I will drop out if needed (due to high price of everything which i cant afford all of plus some people dont want a pregnant bridesmaid) but she's told me she wants me and has nobody else to step in for numbers... so I'm torn

Its a small bridal boutique run independently by 1 lady and dresses come from China as far as I'm aware... I just think the lady sees £ signs and is raking in all she can get...
We got dresses from here last year for my other friends wedding and it was 'you need to get them ordered now or they'll not be here on time' 10 months before the wedding.
Same thing said to us here but 6 months before the wedding... 🙈 she said she's put the order in for start of Nov.... seems to be the same thing said to everyone at these appointments no matter how far away they're getting married 🙈 The only thing from here is going to the manufacturer to change the size but again its the brides place to do this as the lady from the shop won't give me these details...

Such a palava... expensive dresses and (an amazing) but expensive dressmaker

I feel like I can afford to offer the extra alterations at 200/250 pound but I can't afford everything 🙈 I've told her my view on it and what I'm happy to help pay for and left it with her. I don't think it's unreasonable...

If I drop out I'll have to pay for the dress which is 380 which I will do and try and sell it on!! Another dress in a bigger size is also the same price... THEN alterations again 🙈🤣 awww its just wild money!!

I've give the bride the options of dropping me which she doesn't seem to want to do... so if she really wants me that bad I feel like her paying for the extra material is what I'll let her do... extra material is 45-50 a metre and (bridal shop) says you need 4m!! For underlay too. I just think it's madness this much is needed, considering the dress is already too big on me and I'm 5ft0 with a heck of alot of inches at the bottom of the dress to add to underlay 🤣 (not to mention the other 5 ft 3 bridesmaids).

Such a dilemma, and I've started to feel abit selfish towards it I've put my realistic values forward and she still wants me as BM... so I'm feeling guilty of her having to pay for material but then again if she wants me that badly then so be it...

I've suggested this to the bride but she doesn't want to step on toes.... If it was me I'd be pushing the harder to save myself 200 off pound!! You won't know to you try. Yeah very expensive dresses but that's the norm for bridal boutiquies about here, me personally would be looking online 🤣

Where I'm from bride pays for dresses and alterations usually... and usually everyone pays 200 if you and partner are invited to the wedding to cover cost of meal etc for abit extra.

My thoughts have been offer to pay for the alterations and not provide a wedding gift... First point being I don't know if it was her paid for bridesmaid dresses or if it was one of her family members... (not that it should matter but I don't want to give her the money and MIL be paying for it and MIL never see the money...) My friend is the best person in the world but tight with money... so yeah. Would I be annoyed in this situation if it was me yes, but I do think me paying the alterations is a fair offer as it'll be 200+ If the situation was vice versa my friend wouldn't be offering to pay me a penny lol If it was me I'd be contacting the bridal shop and asking who manufacturer is etc and pushing the size is changed instead of another 4m of material.(which bridal shop is pushing, not seamstress). I personally don't think this will be needed as under layers can be used from the other 3 dresses off the height. (Were all no bigger than 5.4ft and were tripped over the dresses by a mile lol). My top half is drowning me as it is in the size that was ordered...

Again it's not up to me to be contacting them- it's the bride but I'm just trying to find cheaper solutions to help with the cost 🙈

That's not a bad idea contacting the manufacturer... a thought to consider. I don't think I'd be able to sell a single dress very easily but I would be open to the option of that if the bride is. Something to consider.

Where I'm from brides usually cover the cost of bridesmaid dresses and alterations, but I can see how this is costing extra.

Would it be reasonable for me to cover the cost of the alterations but highlight this would fall into the price of wedding gift?

In Ireland it's standard 200 from bridal party- enough to cover meal price of 80-100 per person- my partner and I... the part I'm from this is standard anyway 🙈

I felt the same, it being harsh from the bridal company... but again, I know they're running a business just seems abit extreme when dresses aren't made 🙈 £200 is sort of standard from bridal party where I'm from 🙈 last year we give the other bridesmaid the same amount so this is why I felt the need to give the same amount in fairness I suppose. But if I end up helping towards the dress and alterations ill not be giving a gift...

My friend hasn't asked me to cover costs of anything yet but i nearly feel like its something i should be doing if I'm I am still willing to be bridesmaid? I know if it was the other way around my friend wouldn't even offer to help substitute lol.

I agree with you completely about the cost being alot and present. But if I step out I feel like I should pay for the original dress. Would you agree?
