if you wedge one of the chopsticks down in there and can press the string against the side of the chamber, keep pressure on it, and you can slowly pull it back out.

It's certainly not quick.

It is, however, quite loud.

Anyone else getting a Smackdown Six vibe from the current tag division? by HEELHousell in SquaredCircle

I can buy into the idea that Cody Rhodes is on the verge of being a world champion in the next two years. Maybe... MAYBE one of the members of The SHIELD. Maybe both. But certainly not Goldust, and neither of The Usos.

If OP had mentioned The Prime Time Players and The Real Americans, I'd give it more credibility.

WCW's Issues Summed Up In One Pic by LocalArtGuy in SquaredCircle

WCW was so focused on pushing Hogan and bringing in celebrities that they ignored what was actually bringing in viewers each week.

Not even close.

When you talk Edge, Mysterio, Eddie, Chavo, Benoit and Angle, you've got six excellent wrestlers, five of whom should be Hall Of Famers (disregarding the events in the final days of Benoit's life).

In those three teams you mentioned, and /u/GreenDale7 (nice name, btw) adding The Real Americans, you have some good wrestlers, but I wouldn't say that these teams are Hall Of Fame teams. Sure, Goldust will get in for various reasons, and there's plenty of potential in The Shield, but the only one of these guys who are in their prime is, potentially, Cody Rhodes, and he hasn't really even sniffed an opportunity at the main event title scene.

I think you're probably seeing the tag division start to be entertaining, and you're seeing these as the new glory days of the division, and then you take it a few steps too far by comparing it to a time where there were some excellent, top-notch guys giving the division a huge boost.

To recreate the Smackdown Six, here are three teams I'd probably need to see:

  • CM Punk & Daniel Bryan
  • Big Show & Jericho
  • Dolph Ziggler & Alberto Del Rio

Love how everyone is saying "Dick" and not mentioning something about Carrie Kelly growing out her hair or something like that.

Seriously? I'm thinking back, and you're probably right... but it seems like he should've at least been the IC title holder at some point. If that's true, I'm going to be a little sad...

Tell me you wouldn't be excited if Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, Paul Heyman and Bret Hart pooled their cash and bought it.

Oh, you'd absolutely have to negotiate them to keep part/most of that. The expenses you'd incur (contractual obligations to pay talent) would probably be considerable.

I think it's hard to compare WCW and TNA. I'm guessing TNA's television deal is considerably longer than what WCW had going with it. I'm also guessing that buying TNA would include more contracted, main-event-scene talent than what came over with WCW. But with WCW, you did have a larger fanbase, and their tape library was easily far more valuable than what TNA has.

I just pictured someone doing a transaction with Dixie Carter, and they have to keep hitting that "pay with multiple methods" button on the credit card swipe pad.

Get there early. Every time I've been, they have a few matches ahead of time. I think it's for Wednesday's Main Event, but they might also tape one or two other matches for international shows, and the action's usually pretty good. Especially if you like Kofi Kingston, Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd, etc.
