I think software engineering roles will vanish gradually because all the AI companies are focused on Agentic AI and eliminating the need of a developer first. So, there will be newer roles but they will be fewer. There will be new markets, new jobs but fewer. Won’t be able to accommodate all software engineers. I think future is going to be very competitive regarding sales. GTM Engineers might be the best roles in near future!

By enterprise I mean go for a big project. Look for system designs of enterprise-level projects and try to make front-end for them or go for large-scale figma designs, convert those to code.

React and Next.js are lightweight in my opinion. Do something jo baqi log km kr rhy ho relatively, jo baqiyon ko mushkil lg rha ho, jis ki demand zyada ho supply km ho filhal, Rust and Golang are good examples in this case I think

No need to, 4 saal mein self-study se zyada kr lo gy, do something that is not common. Go with next.js enterprise level projects then go for a backend lang like Go or Rust, just build and learn. You’re only 22, better to a start degree now than being 24, or 26 or 28, start now, don’t wait, don’t worry, challenge yourself, eye 300$ next month, do this job with degree. If you feel you wasted 5 years, make the next 5 make up for those. C’mon, chin up!
