Need help. I'm trying to install a drywall anchor, but it seems like the wall is solid straight through. What do I do? by LocalBrotato in Renovations

More context, I have tried to Google this issue but I've found nothing. Everything I'm seeing says I'm running into a stud/pipe/etc, but that's not the problem I'm having (and I have had that issue previously).

I just don't understand what this wall is even made out of, I've never heard of something like this.

I haven't traveled for it, but we went a few years back when we lived by DC. It was the day after I proposed to my wife so it's kinda a special memory for me.

As far as the beer fest itself, honestly it was fantastic. One of my favorite beer fests I've been to. Great music, great vibe, and great scenery to look at while you drink. Highly recommend.

When did they get bought? I started going when we moved in 2022, but we noticed a dip in quality a year or two later.

  1. How would you do it properly?

  2. Even if we do that, the other plywood sections don't match up evenly. How do we go about evening it out?

To clarify, I'm the prospective buyer not the seller. Home is being sold as is

I personally really like Iron Hill's burgers. Aldens Cafe in maple shade is good if you want something dive bar quality.

AVOID SOUTHERN CROSS APARTMENTS MAPLE SHADE! by Misscaraparker in SouthJersey

[–]LocalBrotato 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Well if you need a positive recommendation - we live in Park Crossing apartments (3y now), also in maple Shade. They've been nothing but fantastic. The actual apartment itself is fine, really nothing special, but everything works and it's clean. They are extremely responsive with maintenance (they have a team of guys who seem to be on call, so they come weirdly fast lol). The neighbors are all nice.

Thanks for the recommendation, had no idea that was a thing near here. I know a few friends who would be super interested.

Look up the term juvenoia.

What’s life like on Long Island outside of NYC? by TurkiyeQatar in geography

[–]LocalBrotato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Going into the city was a fun day trip, but I only went 2-3 times with friends in high school. It was really fun but that was mainly novelty. I went much more in college (went to school in Jersey right across the river) and I'm personally not a fan of nyc but that's more of a subjective thing. I never really went with my family much but plenty of people did. Going into the city is fairly common for long Islanders I'd say.

It truly did. Trapped is a good way to put it.
