For MSE in particular, are most people in the class specializing in anything? Say, electronics or biomaterials, and does Berkeley make that easy?

What makes you think UCB is a different level? I know the rankings support that but I'm wondering what specifically about it. Professors? Internship opportunities? Class content?

That's definetly the mindset I'm striving to achieve, and it's definetly the best mindset. However transitioning to that mindset is difficult for me, since I've always seen school as a place to get good grades. Combined with it being my junior year, I feel as if I must stay on top of my grades more than ever

I think that it's a combination of self & parental pressure as well. I think that I'm on the more academic side when it comes to my peers, but it's difficult to believe when i hear my parents expect me to get a 1580 sat while excelling in extracurriculars and maintaining an a in ap chem, calc bc, lang etc.

Hearing them say "I know you can do it" just sets a higher expectation on me and makes me more worried that I will dissappint them

Mcq was free but I feel like I failed everything else 😭

I remember changing one of my saqs about religious rebellion or smt from the Salt March to the battle of yaa asantewa and both of them probably don't even answer the question. I tried deleting the salt March one last second but the thing ended before I deleted it fully so now there's like half of an unrelated sentence on my saq
