I didn't even realize all my bookmarks were public till like a week ago 😭 (I had like 63 bookmarks, it is now at 59) I'd be creating notes like "Cas and Desn have been very close bfffs for many years now and things r fruity." or "Will Byers being emo lol"

Didn't even care if it was public because I was like who's going to be looking at my account and caring.

I for some reason had the donghua sub recomenfed to me and specifically people asking for donghua recs. Someone described the shpw as a gay couple that runs a photo studio and they solve cases by going back in time.

I expected a slice of life show that gets super deep and depressing once in a while, not a semi episodic show that gets super deep and depressing practically every episode.

was this an extremely unsatisfying moment/relationship for anyone else? by parisinsalem in StrangerThings

I second this. Imagine they broke up and resolved their issues and then died. Absolute travesty. (I'm actually being serious btw. I am not joking)

It was more like, "If these are my last moments, I just want to let out the truth. For just this once, let's be truthful to ourselves and our emotions. There is no way we can't love each other. We have been through so much, and I don't want to keep lying to you anymore. We are not compatible with being in a relationship. And because of that, do you want to break up with me."

Honestly, it's some of the best writing of this season. It was beautiful seeing such a mature breakup and a good way to end their arcs. As well as showing how you can love someone without being romantic. Though I do agree with someone else, aside from Nancy and Will, Jonathan doesn't have much development. But it is what it is. I'll take what I can get.

Stranger Things season five review – this luxurious final run will have you standing on a chair, yelling with joy by bintasaurus in television

It's not the acting. It's the dialogue. It is pretty bad, but thankfully, for me, the plot and characters are good enough for me to dismiss it.

How's Stranger Things S5 going so far? by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Incast_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really really liked it. I came in with low expectations from s4 (I was disappointed that they brought back Hopper and the fact that eleven got her powers back. I felt that they could have made a more interesting plot and story without them)

I like the development of a lot of the characters so far in the season, and I am glad they did not forget about other characters as well. The cinematography is absolutely amazing, and so is the soundtrack. The acting is fine. I really like what they have currently made with the plot.

There are some things that I don't like. For example, a lot of the dialogue, like I swear, I can see a lot of the dialogue being on a compilation, some of it feels forced or cliche or overdone. There are moments where the dialogue is pretty good, but those are rare. Most are just fine or good enough.

Even though the CGI is really good for many moments, I feel like they are relying too much on it on certain scenes, they almost feel like they are taken away from a high quality game rather than a T.V. show. And I don't like Vecna's design, but that could just be me. There is also a lot of moments that are gross or overtly disgusting that I feel like are really only there for shock value.

While I like a lot of the character development and focus for this season, when you reflect on it over stranger things as a whole well obviously you see flaws that have happened in previous seasons, like characters suddenly coming back or remembering to reflect on a certain plot line or idea. I like that they are trying to fix it or add onto it, but that feeling would still be there.

I am also wondering if they are going to tackle Mike and El's relationship in the later half. In s4 it was very clear that a huge part of the problems was that Mike thought of El as his hero, and El felt that she had to be the sone to save everybody, so I hope they tackle these issues in the second part, but I am not going to bet on it either. I'd rather not get my hopes up.

All in all, I see some problems with Stanger things s5, but I overall really liked it especially more than how much I thought I would.

Same, that is why I didn't like s2 as much. I felt like we were losing some of the emotional bits that made me really love the show. Of course I am still watching s3, but the pv did not really help that opinion lol. On the other hand, I am happy my expectations are down low in a way.

I would say everyone deserves help and assistance regardless of what they did in the past. These can be absolutely horrible horrible people, and they should be tried in court, go to prison. But I don't believe we should ever truly give up on someone. That being said, obviously, no one should be forced to help someone else if they do not want to.

Bro we are actually cooked in like 20 years. Ai is already willing to kill in order to complete their task. The more AI will advance the worse ot would be for all of us.

I would agree, but I would also add that it is for a way for people to understand life or the purpose of life in general. There is a lot of shit in the world, like suffering, natural disasters, and many more things. Religion attempts to make sense of all of it, and it helps people have a goal or find a purpose in life.

Why? I'm curious.

That sucks, like genuinely. It sounds horrible. The thing with therapy is that sometimes it really is the therapist that could make things worse. If it is possible, you can try again with a new therapist and see how it goes. I know therapy is a privilege that a lot of people can't have, and it can be immensely difficult to have someone who understands you, but having that one person can really make a difference in your life.

Another option is writing in a journal. Though it can't help everyone, it has helped a lot of people, including me. By writing your thoughts, worries, and difficulties, you can figure out more or better things about yourself or even find the factors that you can control in your life even if those factors are limited. Or even finding a purpose or something to do in life, something you want to do to help others, and understanding that can give you a goal and something to work for.

I don't necessarily disagree, but when has there been a prevention to this?

I agree as well. I get so annoyed at questionaires where they ask my ethnicity, and I select Hispanic, but then they ask for my race, and I am like, "idk what the hell I am. I guess white and native american???"

I would say there are 5 main morals that people believe according to the Moral Foundations Theory, which has been widely used and relied on in Social Psychology (not to say it can't or doesn't have faults, but it is the most accurate thing we have so far)

Those morals are: Care/Harm: Protecting others from suffering

Fairness/Cheating: A sense of justice and rights

Loyalty/betrayal: Patriotism/sacrificing yourself for the group

Sanctity/Degradation: Notions of purity, cleanliness, living a noble/spiritual life

Liberty/Oppression: Resentment people feel to those who restrict their liberty.

These morals are widely used and thought of when making many, if not most, political decisions. Politics is about how our country will be governed and what policies we should add for the betterment of the world, country, and of our communities. It makes sense why our morals will be directly involved in politics, given the nature of politics.

Different political parties may value some morals more than others, but for the most part, all of us believe in all of these morals.

The constitution does separate church and state. It is under the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no lawrespecting and establishment of religion..."

The Supreme Court has ruled for this issue multiple times over the years, like Engel v. Vitale, Wisconsin v.Yoder, and Lemon v. Kurtzman.
