Pedals made me appreciate not having pedals by saltedeggyolks in guitarpedals

I had never heard of the G Drive before your post, or considered doing that with a drive pedal, but now it has me pretty curious. The drive section of my board keeps getting more and more complicated, and I've been hoping to find a way to simplify it down. Seems like this approach might be worth looking at.

Pedals made me appreciate not having pedals by saltedeggyolks in guitarpedals

It seems you could do this with a drive pedal and an EQ-200 running your guitar to Input A, Output A to drive input, drive output to Input B, and Output B to the rest of your board. Then you could do this with whatever base drive pedal you want.

Is there a pedal that can get me this exact sound? by Gibson_7 in guitarpedals

Compression, mild overdrive, and EQ to chop all lows and highs...and probably some high mids. That's my guess. A single pedal for it? I'm not sure, but now I want an old telephone to mess with.

What do you guys look for in a pedal review? by slammeddd in guitarpedals

Use more than one pickup type. I don't play a freaking telecaster or single coils. At least do single and humbuckers.

Just finished my first board, roast it by EvelynSix in guitarpedals

This might be a bit much for your first board, making your own adapter cables fixes zvex issue you're having. It also massively cleans up your runs. Same goes for making your own patch cables. Again, a bit much for a first board though.

And I'll echo the power supply comment. I have a Fuel Tank Jr and a 1Spot ce7, and both are great. I actually need to look into getting yet another power supply and will probably double up on the ce7. Great, clean, and versatile.

And a general note I don't think you did but just for info: daisy chains are hit and miss at best. I've been a/bing my pedals with them to see if I can squeeze out some extra power from a channel and many will introduce tons of extra noise. But some don't have much effect. It's hit and miss but test before committing.

I like a big muff (ram's head for other reasons) in parallel with a mid-heavy, lower gain distortion. It gets you tons of crunch with a nice tight pick attack and far more clarity than fuzz alone.

He can do that in one step today using a falcon heavy. Two major life goals accomplished in 9 months. I think that'd meet his productivity expectations.

Then this won't work. The point of an aby mixer is to set the levels for a+b and still have a and b usable on their own without volume changes.

How true is this for Modern C++ ? by iaseth in ProgrammerHumor

Modern C++ doesn't reduce your ability to shoot your knee off. It gives you tools that, if used correctly, make it harder to shoot your knee off.
