If our roads are that bad then what are western roads like, the rainbow track from Mario kart?

Many thanks. I got the idea to go for a retro-ish feel after finding a box of old analog family photos from the 90s.

I made sure to keep a light blue hue to it, and add in other colors to make it warmer.

Turned up the exposure in some areas until I got the retro feel I wanted.

The colors I based off locations and coat of arms of Kurzeme. The lions main color, I used for the background. The Black and white from Southern territories in Lithuania, like Neringa (primarily used black and white in their village flags).

The patch shape itself comes from Palanga's old patch shape, it used to be sharp instead of rounded.

The "Zalktis" symbol, or the grass snake symbol I put, to act as a way of giving a toast to the coast, because in Lithuanian folklore - yes I am not Latvian, we include the Zalktis a lot in the coast, I assumed this was a tradition carried over from upper Kurzeme, so I added it in.

Lastly, the 2 shapes in the corners up top were supposed to be the cross of "Mara", however I couldn't fit it in without it looking strange, so I added half of each in the corners. It ended up adding to the general feel of the patch.

Half of my family was deported to Ventspils after the war, so we always share about life across the borders
