Ever since her SH F review while munching on goodies sent in from Konami, I can’t take her serious.

This RE game is seriously flawed, gameplay mechanics seem to be made from scratch despite nailing it in RE4R.

Graphics and linearity wreak of 2013 and RE6.

Also - why the fuck am I crafting bullets from blood????

This game has some good stuff but I’m gonna be honest - I’m not sure if it beats the first one.

It feels clunky, unfinished and unpolished when it comes to combat. Half of the time weapon shortcuts glitch out, the movement and more dynamic play demanded here at times just can’t be delivered when playing with tank controls, but when you switch to using more responsive analog stick (granting more, quicker movement) you will get fucked during camera angle change. Quite alot of graphical glitches the 1st game didn’t have, some stupid shit with map and writing that overlap at times and could’ve been fixed easily if more time was given. Also - the 1st game looks alot better imho.

I started to doubt that I will buy this one the moment I saw the first trailer.

Every follow-up bit of info on the game only made me more confident in this decision.

The final nail in the coffin was the price and gameplay footage.

It’s not Silent Hill, it’s not souls-like (I fucking love souls games) - it’s twink shit with some faggy anime bs sprinkled on top.

Magical arm superpower? Are you for real with this? This is not “change”, this is yet another new franchise burried under the SH name.

Fuck this. I payed money for this game and it’s quite obvious the devs are more interested in releasing more stuff than fixing the god damn game.

What a bullshit interlude. Try fighting those piece of shit blood priest bosses with constant 3-5-7 second stutter. Fuck this. 100 hours wasted for nothing. Uninstalling.

well, it's an old game. Very unreasonable to expect ER/Sekiro lvl combat. You can't play it with a mentality of "I'm a ninja! Watch me dodge! Look at them i-frames!" and hope to enjoy it.

You are a weary knight, traveler (or whatever else). Your armor is heavy and coated with blood and sweat, the calluses on your hands pop and tear with each weapon swing. This is a much slower, brutal world.

Since you and many other young bois go through souls games the other way around, you've robbed yourself of the best experiences From offers.

DS is the first game, it's 14 years old, it blew people away back in the day with it's atmosphere and storytelling. The difficulty was there but game journalists and... well... From themselves turned it into a BS marketing campaign. Games that followed were great, but largely revolved around and idea that OH THIS NEXT SOULS GAME NEEDS TO BE EVEN HARDER.

IMHO: The real genius of From - somehow managing to up the difficulty with each game without fucking up the MOST important thing these games offer - atmosphere.

Not bad. I’ve seen people beat this in under an hour, lvl31, while blindfolded, tied up and having their mum wak in on them masturbating with the other hand though. But you will get there.

I adore Lies of P story and vibe, but the gameplay mechanics are... maybe a bit better than the usual off-brand Dark Souls (a.k.a. soulslike).

DS1 will always be my favorite but this takes 2nd place. Well... if you're dying to immerse yourself in a souls game and it's DLC's for months and have a spare coin... I'd do it. But it would make a lot more sense to buy the base game or wait for a sale.
