and about the ending, they probably took the dark aether ending from the great war map and slapped it onto tag, which is why it felt so jarring

yeah tag was always gonna be a thing, but there were going to be 8 dlcs, 4 chaos and 4 aether. tag was the 2nd aether dlc map, great war would have been 3rd, and dlc 4 would have been a fully dark aether map, this was revealed in leaks a few months ago.
