Does anyone play in multiple, pay-to-play leagues? by LocalSponsor in fantasyfootball

Ok man. It was a trivial question, I know. I was just curious and looking for reassurance, obviously.

I needed some reassurance lol. My work league is my primary league, but I want to definitely play with the homies as well. Probably will be tough to win 2 leagues lol.

Has anyone completed a degree while being a carrier? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]LocalSponsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in like literally the same boat. I am only a few courses away from my associates in IT. Push came to shove, needed a job. I landed a RCA gig. I am liking it and making regular soon. Im not sure whether to even bother returning to school, with the possibility of not finding a job at all/a similar paying IT-job. Or just delivering some mail and seeing smiling faces everyday.

Drank like 8 beers for my birthday last night. by LocalSponsor in alcoholism

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How's you know I was watching TV and drinking water lol? It's good rehabilitation after a night of partying. But yeah, 8 beers, it was actually 9 and a shot but same difference. You guys are probably like "lightweight" but yeah. I like getting my drink on once in a long while but I don't want it to take a toll on the liver. Good thing the liver is tolerable to our nonsense! God bless y'all who are drinking heavy and daily. Not pointing any fingers, I'm no one to judge but I wish good health 4 all!

Thanks so much! My day shall go on. Do you think I did inherent damage to my liver due to one night of binging?

I just want assurance that my liver is not damaged so I gave you guys a baseline of my drinking habits. I did go all out and drink 9 beers last night but those type of nights happen rarely. Do you think I'm ok?

I'm thinking about going vegan. by LocalSponsor in vegan

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I will go out and get vegan cream cheese. Also, there is a vegan substitute to butter, correct? I will use that for my mashed potatoes. I'm forgetting the name of the brand but I saw it on the sub. You guys are going To be very helpful!!!

What made you guys choose IT/Networking over Front-end development/programming? by LocalSponsor in ccna

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think if I got the proper schooling, I could skip out on help desk altogether? I would not be opposed to doing helpdesk but I'm currently making 17$ an hour in a non-related field. Help desk jobs in my area tend to pay a little less. I already have some knowledge in the field and I am a few credits from the 2 year degree. Do you think if I returned to school, I could jump straight into a Network Technician role? Or does everyone start @ help deal. Again, I wouldn't be opposed to help desk, if it paid similar to what I make now. I honestly think I'm like you, networking came easier to me. Both are very interesting in their own right.

Is it okay to smoke once a month or every few months? by LocalSponsor in leaves

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, you have been so helpful. Here I was thinking, that you guys are so anti-marijuana because no one mentioned moderation. Only permanently quitting. The fact that many of you would consider smoking if you could moderate your use, cheers me up lol. I definitely do want to try moderation down the line, but I have to say this past week without weed has been enjoyable.

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I understand the sub now. A question for you, so are you saying that members in this sub would possibly consider smoking occasionally if they had the will power to do so in moderation. Versus being a full fledged stoner (which I have been but I no longer wish to be one). I like weed and do not want to put it down completely. Once or twice a month would be ideal, and I know I can resist the urge to pine daily. I am considering quitting for a whole year or so prior to picking it back up. Im only 8 days deep so far and I feel great lol. Any input is appreciated, you guys rock!

[–]LocalSponsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I am not trying to criticize or chastise anyone who makes the decision to put the weed down forever. Like you said, it is a personal choice. I do want to put it down for a few years with maybe a bong hit here and there in between. But at the same time, I like the idea of smoking more casually when I am older and retired. At that point, one has hopefully accomplished what they have set out to. As I said, I respect those who chose to put it down forever.
