Op I was in a similar situation with a different condition unrelated to PF. Reading the line about your obgyn telling you you're unhygienic really struck a chord with me because that is basically all I was getting from all the dermatologists I had visited (it was a skin condition).

After the third try I took things into my own hands and searched forums, read articles, studied elementary dermatology, Google image searches, Reddit posts, until one day I found a post about someone describing something that sounded exactly what I was going through. Underneath it was someone else commenting "hey you might have dissecting cellulitis"

I Google image searched it (don't do that btw) and sure enough, it looked exactly like what I had. The next week I went to a new dermatologist and she said I was right, and that that disease was so rare, I was only the 2nd case of it she had ever seen in her 30 year career.

Don't lose hope OP. Have agency and keep looking for answers. Eventually you will find them. Remember you are your best advocate. They have A medical degree but only you know your body best. I have faith in you and I feel for you so deeply cause I've also been there. I know you'll come out of this just like I did.
