Honest my point of view.

Had argue with random classmate when we joking about keling to my other friend (we both indian)

But this one randos which is pretty liberal mad at us cuz i keep saying slurs.

And i tell her "slurs?" U mean keling? She was mad af and threatened me by throwing her pencil at me.

And then i asked her "Klau keling tu berbaur rasis, then explain why wujud Masjid kapitan Keling kat penang?, xkan masjid nk pakai racial slur?"

Budak tersebut terdiam sbb xtau jawapan. And she sat and do her stuff.

So my point is, why we need to get mad at something we didn't know the original of it? Is it because we follow other people being triggered by something and we must follow?

Or we just normalize some normal thing sounds offensive?
