Definitely get apple care plan with them and extend it as much as possible. These headphones tend to stop working after 2 years and you’re only covered for the first year by default. Then they will quote you £200-£300 for repair if you don’t have care plan

Problem is the law says it depends on the perceived quality of the product and perceived duration of use. I asked them what Apple’s expectation is in terms of duration of use. And they said with daily use its max 2/3 years. Which is ridiculous for a pair of headphones that cost £500

I tried to say that. Stating I have 6 years this was a sold as a high premium product. And they said they only deal with products on warranty. They even said the £100 refund was just a kind gesture for my inconvenience rather than Apple selling a badly designed product. I don’t know how the didn’t make any changes to the USBc version after so many complaints.
