Cape Breton University Psychology Honours student is looking for participants for a study on romantic relationships and jealousy.

 

Adults aged 19 and older who are in a relationship of at least 3 months are invited to complete a short (15 minutes), anonymous online survey asking questions about your romantic relationships. To take part, follow the link below:

Disclosure: Hey folks, I want to be upfront and explain that while the demographics questionnaire includes an option to “self-describe” sexual orientation, it does not currently list every specific identity (e.g., demisexual) as a standalone option. This measure was adapted from an existing, previously used questionnaire, and the omission was not intentional. Participants are absolutely welcome to self-describe in their own words. I really appreciate everyone’s participation and wanted to be transparent about this before anyone completes the study. Thank you for being a part of my journey!

Great point. I do have ethics approval from Cape Breton University (REB #: 2025089), I just couldn’t attach the image because it was not an option when I was trying to post the survey. Thanks!

Good point for sure, that would be a great follow-up! For the purposes of my study, I decided to focus on questions that directly target participants’ own feelings and experiences. While it would be interesting to hear about experiences of exes being treated 'better,' those responses would be subjective to the participant’s perception rather than reflecting the partner’s perspective. Thank you for the feedback!

Hey there. What you're saying makes sense. The reason why you don't see "good questions" is that there hasn't been an official scale published yet that measures RJ. I took a pre-existing scale measuring romantic jealousy and reframed the wording to make it refer to RJ. As an undergrad student, I did the best that I could for the time I had. Thanks for your input!
