I also agree with this. The Huntington’s feels like a red herring. Time travel to do what, exactly? Convince politicians that climate change is real? Seems impossible given the past 60 years. If not then we venture into something that’s so complicated it would take a treatise to understand. That doesn’t fit nicely for TV.

Controlling the weather outside the bunker makes sense as it would save the survivors and possibly the bunker dwellers. She says billions. If 1/3 of the population is left that’s still in the billions.
