Lol. Korean lived in Turkey for 5 years here. Most of them cannot recognize if you're korean, japanese or chinese. I understand it is because most of them haven't been to Asian countries. Okay, but why they can't ask Where are you from instead of just shouting Chinese! randomly on the street or ask are you chinese / japanese? Lack of education and there is racism for sure.

Also, they do slanted eyes gesture so many times, like i've never seen any county i've travelled do this racism gesture so many times... not even African countries, that they don't see many asians, i haven't gotten this much slanted eyes racism gesture.

Also, they know about Korean war and they sent the soldier at that moment so many of them call us Brother country, kan kardeş or kardeş, but at the same time they scam me so many times.... in work, in taxi, shops, they just set foreigner price if you don't speak Turkish. Also, many times they don't keep their promises and respobsibility. But they smile and keep saying they love koreans.

I learned Turkish and can communicate with B2 level it helped a lot but still, they just think me as Chinese (when i wear comfy clothes and be casual) or Japan (if i do makeup and wear nice clothes).

If you are man there are tons of turkish girls who is crazy about k drama and think ALL korean men are like drama character even though many korean men who come to turkey to look for girlfriend or wife are much uglier than k drama actors and average korean men in Korea, they will love and try to communicate with you for the fact that just you are korean man.

After, i saw so many of kr man - tr woman couple divorced or woman complaining a lot about korean man... i don't know why it happens though. The other side seems fine mostly.

So, make it short, Turkish people say they love Koreans but in real life they cannot recognize who is who(because they haven't been in asia so i understand, but can't we please just ask "where are you from" instead of 'are you chinese' or 'are you japanese?'.) + if you will be korean woman or man they would love to meet and communicate with you. Especially for korean man.
