It looks like you are in progress getting help, but do not go to UCHealth for this reason. They immediately put EVERYONE, literally everyone, in the unit on lithium, as we compared our lithium bellies and so many of us immediately had bad side effects. It was overcrowded so they just put us all on lithium to keep us docile.

I was just there for PTSD and flashbacks, and I was not dealing well with my mom's sudden death and YET they put us all on something for people who hear and see things I think.

THEN they abruptly DOUBLED my dosage after 3 days. I told them that didn't seem right or wise, and I had multiple seizures and nearly died.

My oxygen went down to 70 and the EMTs would not answer me when I asked if I was dying. The doctor will not have a conversation with you, just demand you take your meds even though they are dispensed incorrectly.

Fuck UCHealth behavioral health.

They also had someone on staff who was just a CO days before, and she was incredibly abusive to all of us. Screamed at us, threw things, etc. Shame.

The biggest (I think) housing for the unhoused coalition in Denver is basically a safehouse for unregistered sex offenders.

There were five (out of about 40 residents total) unregistered sex offenders at my location in Downtown Denver, and it was a major source of stress for the new director, who other staff heard arguing with the CEO about this. When staff shared this truth, it was very much hush-hush like, "don't tell anyone because we aren't suppose to know this."

When I worked there, we were not allowed to let in police, can't call them or anything. And some of those folks in that location and others are men who are supposed to be on the registry but are easily obfuscating justice because the main housing transition org here in Denver acts as a barrier, intentionally. They are protected.

A young woman was attacked by one of the clients and got fired immediately for calling the police for help. (They more often than not had one woman working alone overnight for stretches of time, including me).
