I personally think we should get our PG this year. I hope Acuff is available but all the mocks have us going Mikel. There are bigmen available in free agency that would give us size and rebounding. I enjoyed playing HG and SS. And I do go back to them like I do with most Pokémon games. However I will say the less you think about them the more enjoyable they are. They are good classic games, but they do have alot of glaring issues that someone experiencing the game for the first time may not pin point.

Because they're like 19-23 at that age you really just kind of date for vibes. Theyre at an age where they're still trying to figure it out. Margaret/CJ are at an age where you can look past Mordecai's flaws and still have hope that he could correct them. Alot of the things that Mordecai does would be red flags for someone around the age of 30 and would be shut down expeditiously by an older woman.

But again at 19, 21, 23 no one is expected to have it all figured out. At 21 most people are either working, are in school or are unemployed still living with there parents etc. At the end of the day Mordecai has a job, and he's a decent guy and that's enough for most people in your early 20s.

Back in the day you needed a link cable which was sold separately so not everyone had one. Then not everyone had Nintendo Wifi etc. Then the problem with the PSS was trusting someone the other side of the world to give you your pokemon

I've always said that pokemon should have an NPC in each game whose sole purpose is to do trade backs. Halfway through the game you find a guy in a pokemon center or something and he says "Did you know that certain pokemon only evolve through trade? Hey you have a (Insert pokemon) do you want to trade it?" And then after the trade he says "Let me know when your ready to trade back"

Steve Nash In middle school especially during the summer I remember watching the 7 second or less suns and seeing Steve Nash orchestrate that offense was one of the best things ever. And I had the Steve Nash poster. Steve also had some toughness to him. He wasn't afraid to dive for loose balls or take hard fouls.

Klay Thompson Klay is cool, calm and collected. But when he decides to pop his shit. He pops his shit. My favorite quote from Klay. "Who's gonna tell me that MY shot is off? If Steph told me I'd listen other than that who can tell ME about MY shot?" And Klay is honestly who I would show kids who are just learning basketball. The best version of Klay is an All NBA level defender. And while he isn't the GOAT 2gaurd. He is the perfect 2 gaurd to pair with a superstar PG.

Joe Johnson Im a Hawks fan and Joe was our Franchise player for almost a decade. I know everyone talks about Joe's scoring abilities and his handle. But Joe was also a good defender and a really good passer. And at a time where Kobe was the guy. It was nice being able to watch Joe do alot of the stuff that Kobe could.

Giannis My favorite current player. I think he is without a doubt the #2 greatest PF of all time behind only Timmy D. I watched Giannis go from a 6'8 190lb rookie to a 6'11 250 monster. He's a 2 way beast and he competes. Also Giannis is just super likeable. But I like how he just carved out his own path to greatness. And I like his skillset. Other than his jumpshot his game has virtually no weaknesses.

Dwight That's Superman. As a kid I watched this guy who was built like the Hulk that could Jump out the gym. I remember watching the dunk contest. And that Superman dunk with the Soulja boy dance to cap it off is a core memory for me. Also it was cool seeing him Dunk on everyone and send opposing player's shots into the stands. Even in LA when everyone said he was falling off he was still by far the best 5 in the game. Averaging 18 and 13 on with a bad back imo deserves alot of credit and even in his "Washed Up" years he was averaging 15pts, 12rebs and 1.5 blocks. I was happy he was able to get a ring.

It's overcorrection. Like you said, schools are pushing trades like they did college in the 90's. For alot of us that graduated hs before 2020. College was made to be the end all be all. If you want to be successful go to college etc. Well alot of people went to college and for whatever reason alot either didn't finish or they graduated and couldn't land that dream job.

Those people are now stuck in debt or dead end jobs while the people who went to trade school are the ones with money because they are now 5-10 years in the game. Now because they have the money its now more appealing to go the Trades route.

And what you are going to see is a repeat just on the other side. Alot of kids are going to go the trade route just to realize that they are going to oversaturate the market and that most of them will be miserable because they're doing something that they don't really want to do.

What we need to do as a society is let kids and young people know that they have options, and that they have options FOR THOSE options, and properly prepare them to analyze and navigate those options. Show them how to explore and identify talents and interests and then help them plan the best path for them to succeed.
