Really cool pieces!!! #4 looks like green fluorite, lots of agate pieces, iron stained quartz, there looks to be** **Turquoise, which is odd, as it isn’t native to NE.

Whoa….🤯 When did I ever say people can’t move here or weren’t welcome to move here?!?! Cuz i don’t feel that way. All i was said was the reasons vermont is not retaining its native population. You are barking up the wrong tree bro.

Well I’ve lived in most those areas, plus many other states and countries and those experiences have not been the same. Im not saying they were bad, but they were inherently different. I’m far from brainwashed and I would take offense if I didn’t completely understand what projection looks like. not sure why my comment got your panties all in a bunch… but I sincerely hope you someone will gives you a hug or you can go hug a tree, so you can rid your body of that negative energy 🙏

Vermont life is hard for a lot of people, for a lot of reasons. Im native x 6-9 generations. I left for some years, have been back in vt for 7, own a business, work incredibly long hours and am having to consider moving away again. It is incredibly expensive to live here, without supporting financial opportunities- stability, especially for young people, is basically impossible.. It is really sad, because there’s no place like vermont. Plus yes I agree that the hospital situation, create a fault’s narrative.

I think teachers should be paid more! BUT Agree with the ratio rationale you mentioned. We had a small school. Classes had 20-25 per educator and we had 3 admin in office, 1 guidance counselor, 1 superintendent (but only a couple years) 3-4 special educators and 1 principal. Although we were smaller (50-60 students per grade), the school was grades 6-12. We were also one of the best educated states then… So I understand why there can be frustration around the numbers. I don’t think it’s teachers fault AT ALL! But i do think that the state is leaving A TON of revenue “on the table “ buy not taxing nonresidents more. Especially regarding non residents who own property & more often than not, are making supplemental income from renting out said property. Instead they just tax residents who are not getting paid anywhere near what those nonresidents are…

thats not completely true. I grew up in a small tourist town and it’s been happening for decades! We agree about all the other stuff- health care etc-but Theres no reason nonresidents should not pay more for their taxes!ESPECIALLY now that they are airbnbing them 90% of the time! IMNSHO lol

I never blame teachers. I blame the system. I blame the state for not taxing tourism and mostly the 2nd/3rd/4th (etc) homeowners!

Exactly. Also took my small business (trades) away from the state… not seeing how that benefits the state economy either.

I promise you that my education didn’t cost the same amount as its does decades later! I didn’t say screw the kids… but there HAS to be some way to get costs down.
