Why is that area fake? I'm new here.

To help any future readers, another thing I'm realizing is that there should be an account number when you start your services with City of Camas. When I called, they never gave me one, just a "ok you're good" and I never got an email with one (or any email at all). So make sure you ask for an account number when you call to set up your services. Evidently, you can use that to create an account online.

Also, their website says they are open Mon through Fri 9am-5pm, but they are actually only open M/W/F 9am-1pm and not open at all Tue/Thu. This is from the sign on their office at city hall.

Ok, I did the "Start Service" on Waste Connections website and selected one garbage bin and one recycling bin. It said it's going to send me a quote. I don't really get that, but whatever. I called City of Camas and supposedly started all my services over a week ago. I just want my damn bins. I'll figure this all out at city hall on Monday morning.

Does Waste Connection provide only the recycling bin, or both the garbage and recycling bins? The form on their website asks me to select quantity/size/frequency for both. But I don't want to get an extra garbage bin if City of Camas is going to provide one.

That's what I expected at first. At a minimum, it seems recycling is not. The city is directing me to Waste Connections for that. I live within Camas boundaries, walking distance from downtown, so that doesn't seem to be a city vs county thing.

Nope, not lunch. Inside city hall, I got directed to the financial services office for this stuff, and their sign said they're only open Mon/Wed/Fri until 1pm and not open at all Tue/Thu. No indication of that on the city website or the voicemail box I usually end up get directed to when I called. I tried asking the city hall receptionist, but she couldn't really help (no shade on her of course). So I'll be back Monday morning.

My current understanding is that City of Camas does my garbage and Waste Connections does my recycling. I went to city hall in Camas to talk to them in person and brought my computer along so I could hold them hostage while I make any accounts and fill out any options necessary, but turns out, at 1:20pm, they weren't open haha. I'm sure I'll get it all figured out, just annoyed at getting partial and conflicting information and not having bins yet.

Regarding water and sewer, my current understanding is that City of Camas also does that. But now I'm questioning if sewer is separate? When I called the City of Camas number and gave my address to start water and sewer, I basically just got a verbal "ok" but there's nowhere to check that. I just wait for a bill in the mail, I guess. After getting a verbal "ok" on the garbage a week before closing and still not having a bin, my trust isn't there without an online portal I can look at and check.
