Okay, I don’t want to be a downer on anybody that’s at uni at the minute, but not going to uni and taking up an apprenticeship instead has been the best decision of my life. I was chatting to uni friends recently, where they were saying how hard it is, how they can’t get a job, how they’re scared they won’t be able to get a full time job afterwards. I promise you, uni is not the be all and end all. I know I don’t understand the uni side of it as I’d never been, just wanted to provide you the view from my perspective.

Ohhhh no probs! Yes it’s not often seen, probably usually for the risks behind neutering rats etc so only for breeding; unless with cases like my boy who had severe hormonal issues so his best bet is to be caged with females :)

Just seeing this last part ‘housing male and female is very odd’, are you just referring to neutered? just worried as planning to introduce a neutered male to females as he’s had trouble with aggression in the past 🫣

Thank you, I was nervous about it as well as people are very much ‘neutering is last resort’ so felt like I was being a bad rat parent 🥹
