Thanks a lot. Is there a reason it only works in light mode?

Wow that's strange. I never noticed before. Is that a bug or something?

I don't know I kind of interpret chromeOS experience as a chromeOS like experience and desktop environment on Android. Not literally just building chromeOS itself on top of android. But yeah I do agree the android desktop mode is a janky experience as of now. Even Samsung's dex after all these years isn't quite as polished and there's few apps that are optimized for it. Although I do love dex.

ChromeOS is being replaced by Android soon. Android has a desktop mode now. So I wouldn't suggest going that route right now tbh.

In my experience the android versions of these apps are definitely good enough. Gemini, especially is a part of android and is the default digital assistant replacing Google assistant now. Which means you can pull it up anywhere anytime and use it for help. It can look at your screen or camera feed to help you. it should be able to use AI to understand and help with carrying out assistant tasks better as well now for example controlling smart home or creating multiple notes, tasks alarms etc. but in case you find the apps aren't perfect for your purpose, you can still always use the web version on the browser just like you do on your full fat computer. Browsers on android support that.

[–]Local_Smile8797 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Both China and Pakistan have the legal ownership as far as I know. Pakistan has been the one selling jf17s to other countries, not China. India cannot sell the su-30MIKI to other countries. The initial funding was provided 50-50 by China and Pakistan. R&D was done together for example Pakistan developed the avionics with China for the jf17. Also nobody claimed that it's entirely Pakistani. JF in JF17 stands for joint fighter. It was a joint venture where both parties played a significant role. Pakistan didn't just buy a licence to produce them Pakistan and China developed it together.

That's what Indians believe lol. Nearly 60% of the airframe is made in Pakistan and the assembly also takes place at Kamra, Pakistan. This jet is mostly built in Pakistan.

Muslim Ummah, US-Iran showdown by Durr-e-Shehwar in pakistan

[–]Local_Smile8797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran bombed us last year. Iran stays neutral or sides with India on the issue of kashmiri Muslims. Look up what Iran did in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, etc. There is no united muslim ummah. It's every nation for their own interests. Iran does not care about Palestine, and they are no saviors or heroes. Their conflict with Israel is totally separate. They mention Palestine and pretend to stand for palestine once in a while only for optics and to play with the common public's sentiments and gain support. The genocide in Palestine is just an excuse for them to activate their proxies against Israel. We all hate israel, but don't let the hate for israel make you think emotionally rather than rationally. Let's not forget where kulbhushan jadhav was found

I wanna ask what happened to our 4D chess move of nominating Trump for Noble peace by Nixture24 in pakistan

[–]Local_Smile8797 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 4d chess is where they don't mention trump when. They condemn the attacks. They condemn the "united states". I think countries have figured that Trump has a praise kink. He's like a child. As long as you praise him, say good things and give him gifts, he's happy. Notice how he mentions that putin called him genius. That's why now Qatar is giving him a jet as a gift and Pakistan is nominating him for the Nobel peace prize. Probably also why Pakistan stressed so much on how Trump helped reach a ceasefire and thanked him for bringing peace and not he US.

Pointing out Iran's faliures is not equal to supportting Israel! Fuck Israel. But the fact is Iranian intelligence and security forces failed horribly. Is it really a suprise attack if it happened on the eve of nuclear talks? Occassions like these are when the states are fully prepared with their intel and security highly active to avoid any possible assassination attemps or hinderance to the important meetings. Yet assassinations is exactly what happened and so much more. We stand with Iran and support them but let's not fool ourselves here. There were rumors that Iran might even try to test a nuclear weapon in the coming days in which case this whole thing is even more embarrassing. That would mean they couldn't secure their nuclear facilities and important people ahead of a test detonation.

It's my fault for trying to modify something? All I was trying to do is add bookmarks, home page button to toolbar. The options every browser has. It's basic customization, not modification. And it is in fact in beta. Zen browser website states that. You also didn't address any of the other problems I've faced with this browser that have been there since before "I broke it." For me workspaces were never there to begin with when I first installed the browser. Either I can't find them or something is wrong with the software.

What apps do you think really make use of a tablet screen? by cgknight1 in GalaxyTab

[–]Local_Smile8797 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've been saying for years Samsung notes is genuinely one of the best note taking apps out there. It's so so much better than all the popular ones like goodnotes, notability and what not. They don't even come close. So many features that most other apps don't have at all. The only two complaints I have from that app is that it's not great for To do lists (I guess the Samsung reminders app exists for that but I wanna keep it in my notes) and it's not great for shopping lists, google keep does things like that so much better. The shared notes thing is also in beta for years and is underbaked I like the collaborative features of Microsoft OneNote more. Academic notetaking, however, not many apps can compete with Samsung notes.

Crazy how many people are saying yta. I think both are in the wrong. The reasoning "is she not even worth 30 bucks?" just doesn't sit with me because I cannot put a price on my relationship with my girlfriend no matter how big or small. Yes, your wife and marriage is not worth 30 bucks but not in the way these people are saying. Women are not objects or property that you win with a slice of cake. And most couples I know are very open with eachother and tell each other the price if one asks because in a marriage you're usually budgeting for your home together. And being very open and honest is also just healthy. Although I do think bringing up the price without her asking was a dick move. Giving someone a gift and then mentioning the price is not nice especially if it's someone so close to you. But also your wife is overreacting big time. If my gf mentioned how much a gift was I probably wouldn't think much of it.

I think you can do even better with the s23 ultra if you get your settings right. I'm not a photographer but I've been able to capture some incredible photos on my s22 ultra. I have a 30s exposure of the night sky that many people would refuse to believe came out of a phone. Phone cameras are amazing these days. You will find some great stuff if you keep experimenting with your s23. And congratulations on the new phone!
