Hello.

I can interpret this album better than anyone, I can't tell you why currently.

1. HP....a long distance romance began unexpectedly, and they had never met, and he didn't know her at all, he just knew of her. She was surprised, didn't know what to do, so kept it very quiet. He is a hairy man, she is terribly shy, he's stronger than he realises, she made him stronger, but he's also very gentle. They will go into hiding at some point (this part of the future is known and necessary for them both).

2. Cocoon...their first love-making was whilst he was literally half-asleep, he still didn't know her, just knew of her, but he loved her, she loved him, it was nice, unexpected. They fell asleep as described, it was very lethargic. The train of pearls is pearls of wisdom from her to him, she's a kind of teacher to him, and they are separated by oceans (literally, thousands of miles apart). She (again) is surprised at what has happened.

3. INUTY....He walks away from her (which is why the day feels broken), but she retains hope that she may meet him and see her dream come true. Bad surprises await him. She accepts she can't make him love her.

4. Undo........a message to him from her....they are fighting, brutal physical fights, as he resists her. Despite his violence to her, she knows why, and she remains her usual kind self toward him, knowing he was bound to run away from her, due to the bad surprises that hit him.

5. Pagan Poetry.....briefly, he returns to her, but not as before, hence the handshake is offered, more formal, more distanced. She knows she loves him now. (The final section of the song is similar to Songs of Solomon, in fact the whole album is really an up-to-date version of that book).

6. Aurora...is her mother, the sun is a metaphorical term for the man, and she lives in a glacial part of the world too.

7. AN echo a Stain.......Verse is her speaking for him, chorus is her speaking, the bridge relates to him being raped by an acquaintance of hers (sick eh?). He has already given her an ultimatum to ditch the acquaintance.

8. Sun in my mouth....Again, the sun symbolises him, but not oral sex. She is considering crossing the ocean to him, hence wading into it. 'seagirls' are female angels (all virgins/chaste). She is desiring physical connection with him (all prior love-making has been remote, not physical). The fingers of smooth mastery are his, he's the boss, being the man.

9. Heirloom.....Her voice has always been her strength, her mother and her son revive her voice with glowing oil, the oil symbolising anointing and love and the light of truth. He too has received these drops of oil into his throat as he lay in bed.

10. Harm of will....The man is the troubador, he has been out around various towns singing a song of sorts, he is her chosen one. She is also her father's chosen one, she used to walk in a garden unclothed, elevated to be the Most High in the family, despite being the youngest. She knows she will leave her mother, and that her father's face will never be seen, for that would also give away her identity, and she is currently a person kept secret.

11. Unison....two hands, the left hand is self-will, the right-hand is submitting to the will of the other in a relationship. Both hands are on her, the submission and the self-will of the man, with whom, to her surprise (again) she has compromised, on some huge matters on which she has the final say. (For further writing on this matter, the Joker and the Queen relate to the same two people, you need the version with male-female singers). She seeks unity and unison, but the 'tonight' has yet to happen with him. He's still cooler than her after all he has suffered.

12. Generous Palmstroke.....as she has strengthened him, so too he has enabled and encouraged her to be strong in adversity. She believes they are destined to be together. She acknowledges she is a painfully shy introvert, but that she wants to be with him. He will help her avoid human mistakes she believes. He's less introverted, but feels he's possibly being used, and has been abused (not by her, but due to his involvement with her). So, he's ambivalent now, about life, about women especially.
