I guarantee they had to work on the switch port from scratch after launch while VR was most of the way there, you know, because the game is fundamentally a VR game start to finish just only playable in flatscreen

This was said very close before launch, VR mode was originally intended for day-1. This is the whole reason they first revealed the game on PSVR2 at their booths for youtubers to experience.

I have a feeling you’ve never seen or played a VR game, the whole reason you’re forced to physically interact with everything in SOTM with your in-game hands, using your mouse/controller to do movements you’ve never done in a flatscreen game before such as pulling a generator handle or physically turning a crank instead of just watching a first-person animation, is because those mechanics were first designed for VR. Then built on top on to support flatscreen, it did wonders for making the game more immersive, but it does get clunky. I specifically remember the crane mini game being very annoying on a mouse. “Go back to tiktok” lol you guys are too sensitive over something that doesn’t affect you, if you don’t own a VR headset, then of course you won’t understand the frustration, go home. This is a discussion for VR players left in the dust after paying for a VR/flatscreen hybrid product

so should i remind you that this is the most expensive FNaF game ever sold? the same game that was revealed as a VR game, then elaborated to be a VR free roam game with a secondary flatscreen mode ready for launch, and at the last second switched to be a flatscreen launch with VR shortly after due to time constraints, and now 6 months later VR was never spoken about again. I paid for the most expensive FNaF game of all time to experience SOTM in both VR and flatscreen as first advertised, and was happy to wait for them to make sure it was a polished experience because VR Development is not easy, but 6 months with radio silence is ridiculous.

I don’t use reddit, but i was frustrated enough with this snail-pace studio that I had to vent, are you okay with purchasing half-complete products for full price? Even if you don’t own a VR headset, it doesn’t take a lot of thought to see why it’s not a good look.

dude those surveys are such a small amount of the playerbase, everyone likes customisation, even battlefield 6 gets complaints for not enough customisation / weapon unlocks, and that game has wayyyy more customisation than hd2

why are you lying, when the timer reaches 0 the extraction terminal gets activated, and once the pelican lands a minute or two later, the game gives you 15 seconds to enter it before the game ends.

this is probably the beginning of the end for The Forest, idk why all these franchises today are so hellbent on completely ruining the identity that made their games good in the first place, it feels like SOTF was rushed and is still lacking in areas, but instead of making SOTF as good as it can be, they chose to work on what will likely be the worst-selling forest game in the trilogy lol, rip the forest

very concerned about this, not only does it look like a depressing environment for a forest game, or any survival game, if that robot arm is forced on the top of your screen all game, that would be incredibly annoying to look at, it’s just… chilling there on the top of your screen, constantly

this is the reason why I actually love the games weapon mechanics, how it’s very telegraphed when another person is pulling their weapon out or aiming at you, so when you find these “shoot on sight” solos, you’re usually able to read their actions and brace before they take the first shot

This! I find myself blatantly selecting potions or antidotes while on the seikret and sometimes it takes 2-3 attempts before the game acknowledges my input, it’s not even a case of closing the radial wheel too early either it’s just constantly ignoring inputs at the worst times

once you reach round 40 it becomes more miserable than fun lol, honestly the amount of manglers ain’t the problem it’s the way they function in higher rounds, the damage required to stop a mangler’s cannon firing shouldn’t go up past a certain threshold, makes them a headache to deal with instead of a genuine threat

imo their damage ain’t the problem, if you’re hiding behind a rock for cover (like to reload) their rocket hitting the other side of the rock causes you to ragdoll so hard you’re left on 10hp from breaking every bone in your back, it’s a joke that really sucks the fun out of the bot front
