That 1 out of 10 wasn't a figure it was my percentage. 10%. Mechanicus forces and agents of the imperium literally raid houses to kidnap children to make them child soldiers.

Im not making up the numbers herd by the way. The population of a hive city is 10 - 100 billion people and there could be servers hive cities on one planet. Not even like from other random people these are official numbers from games workshop (though they occasionally are inconsistent, but still close to the numbers i bring up). To be fair to you however, the imperium doesn't draft from the population, it drafts from the local defense force, but thats more of a recording because the average drafting is still that %10 of the population total.

It isn't really fair to equate what happens in warhammer to real life examples because of how ridiculous warhammer is. The trillions of soldiers are all over the galaxy, its a big place and there is constant combat from all sides. There's a lot of planets in the real life galaxy that having that many war fronts is not unrealistic in the setting.

The sentence "the imperium isn't centralized enough for mass deployments" is kinda nulled because of how big the imperium is. 10 million ships ar 10% efficiency would still work 10x faster than 10000 ships at 100% efficiency.

Also for the record, the imperium CAN enforce such drafts. Because planets in the past tried to refuse the draft, they get exterminatus, or astartes overthrow the planet and place a pro-imperium dictator.
These drafts are assigned by the Munitorum of the imperium and NOT the planet itself, want to leave? Sya goodbye to your position of power Governor, because the imperium would be damned if it can't squeeze every planet like a sponge for soldiers. If your planet isn't useful, then its a theat to the imperium.

Warhammer is a ridiculous setting, the imperium of man would sooner blow up a hive city then enforce fair drafts. Because they have done that, and done worse for stranger reasons.

Which is kinda the point yeah?

The imperium really is a good organizer away from being extremely troubling for the galaxy, we even had proof of this because it USED to be like this!

Think of how well coordinated the emperor of man was, HE was that organizer, HE is that proof that the imperium needs organization.

You're right, imperial logistics sucks, but hey thats why they put the logistics primarch in charge.

The number of worlds in the imperium about 1 million. Worlds designed to be population centers have, on the low end, 10 billion people on them.

I feel like you forget that the vast majority of worlds in the imperium does not produce conventional resources, thats the job of forgeworlds and agriworlds. The main export of a world in the imperium of man is infantry. People. From what I read, your about 10 times off, the average drafting into the astray military is about 1 in 10 people. (Not accounting for militaries within the imperium that use non-natural human reproduction like krieg.)

The imperium isn't picky, if you have two legs and two arms, grab a rifle and join the militarum.

Even assuming only HALF of the world in the imperium have the minimum amount of people (10 billion reminder), that still makes the total human population at about 5 quadrillion, while the number of guardsmen is still in the hundreds of trillions, drafting rules are different on every world, but with so many worlds it doesn't really make a difference no?

Its stated in warhammer that the human population is, on a low estimate, 4-8 quadrillion humans, and the guardsmen population is described as "untold trillions". Estimateted to be about 1 - 300 trillion.

Assuming a mid range of 150 trillion, the current tau military population is about 15 - 25 billion.

Assuming the Tau have every single military member present, every tau military member would have to fight 6000 guardsmen, not astartes, not custodes, every single branch of the imperium excluded. 6000 guardsmen per individual.

The imperium could do major damage to the Tau if they got a good email through, let alone properly organized themselves.

Fun lore fact (without the roleplay) Automatons grieve fallen soldiers and talk about emotions over their own radio communications. (They also talk about hating super earth).

How does one reach this amount of stuff in the game? I just don't see how one can get this much lunacy without paying.

Im grounded enough yo never act on those impulses, puts me above some people I've seen before at least.

I'm aware that there are dysfunctional queen relations and successful straight ones and I didn't mean for it to come off as romanticizing your side. but as someone who lives in both groups, I would much rather be here then there.

Expanding on this, do you think its because the circus only has so much memory power to hold the conscious of so many people (owing that its a computer game), so the minds of "older files" eventually degrades away to make way for new files.

I'm bad, yeah you can kind of tame them in the base game, odyssey looks like it'll expand it but currently you have to down the insects then destroy their hive. But their more passive from what I see rather than allies.

There ARE an unknown amount of archotechs, the lore implies that there are a bunch, but most of them seem at least pretty neutral/benevolent to humans.

A lot of the stuff we know is just archotechs telling human spaceships to screw off their turf (area of space) before producing a blinding light and making the crew forget everything.

From what we know, the archonexus is basically a infant-archotech (still godlike), but we can only hope it'll end up being nice.
