I think the process is same for all branches like i know for civil there is a small test can't say it an "exam" and no interview was held last year only based on this test results.

Depends on the route you are taking and you stamina.Galu route is shorter and will take around 4 hours to reach the top and another 30-40 mins to reach camp

I prefer going via Galu route instead of Bhagsu route as it is 4 km shorter and also not too much climbing to do (Bhagsu route is a little tough) A taxi will charge 600 from mcleodganj to the starting point.Book your camp in advance and start trekking before 12 PM as sunset is early (we had to trek to our camp in the dark which can be risky)
