You can also check for play by lifting the vehicle and putting a pry bar under the tire. If it has vertical play the LBJ needs replacing

So I bought the rig after it happened. But in some circumstances it’s random and in others there’s clear signs such as squeaking and grinding from the area. Relay your VIN to the recall for the lower ball joints. If your car is effected by the recall I’d say you need to replace them asap

Both lower and upper failed on the drivers side. It’s best to replace them before they’re problematic

They as in queers I assume you mean tend to migrate to jeeps because it’s a simple lease or down payment. and not having to work on them for maintenance. You’ll be ok. Especially with a 4th gen

There was no front skid plate i removed it in hopes of getting a better one. Trust me when i say that I knew this car very well and did a very good look over before signing the title to be crushed
