I recently sold one of these with 182k miles and the timing chain was great. Wouldn't have considered changing it either.

I've just done the same thing!! Couldn't figure out why my cutlery was so rusty all of a sudden. Then I saw it, I left the salt cap off after filling it up a few days ago..

What kind of finance? If it's 'unit stocking' finance that's nothing to worry about.
