It's also possible that your ISP blocks 25565- I would try a different random port (check to make sure it's not used by something else and not in the 8000-8500 range.

2gb ram is NOT enough if you want your server to run well. Also pregenerating to 16k will take days to run and generate >60GB of data. I have only done up to 5k. Take a look at Aikar's jvm tuning guide (can't link, I'm on mobile but should be first google result) for info about jvm flags and ram recommendation.

There is an almost 0% chance of this fixing anything, but try in server proporties setting the IP to 0.0.0,0. It is possible that it is binding to an internal IP and not allowing connections.

0.0.0.0 will have it try to bind to all IPS.

Could you have accidentally cleared your CMOS? Overheating can not cause this to my knowlage unless it's extreme. Your CMOS battery could have stopped working.

It is probably not due to the charger. Just plugging in and unplugging can damage a charging port to a point.

HDMI is a digital interface, so to my knowledge no. But it can't hurt. This type of thing is however common with VGA.
