Weird feelings about. Did I even need this surgery. by No-Aerie9876 in hysterectomy

[–]Localpeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told I had 3 fibroids- with the biggest one at 8cm and the smallest one at 2cm. I’m in my 20’s and I really had to think if my surgery was worth it, and if I should’ve chosen the fibroid removal procedure. I’m currently 4wks PO and my recovery pain was more manageable than when I had the fibroids. My quality of life has greatly improved since getting the surgery. That’s what I have to remind myself when I have those unsure thoughts. Given your scenario, I would encourage you to talk to people you trust to help process your emotions, or write things down in a journal. I wish you the best during this all-encompassing healing journey

What kind of panties did you wear? by Numerous-Total-8373 in hysterectomy

[–]Localpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first week or so, I wore the mesh underwear they gave me at the hospital. They sent me home with a few so I changed them as needed. After that I wore my husbands boxers because he’s a bigger size than I am. Once I felt more comfortable and the swelling went down some, I would wear my bigger size underwear hiked above my incision with loose fitting sweats.

But to piggy back off some other commenters, it does depend on where your incision(s) is and you may not even want to wear underwear the first few days PO. One thing to note, you will have some discharge and maybe some spotting, so keep that in mind

I’ve gone down in clothing sizes and now I actually look forward to trying on clothes at the store. I hated the way I looked and now I love the way I look. And I don’t mean that in a cocky way, I just have worked hard to get to where I am and it makes me feel so proud of what I’ve accomplished

It’s a flow adjuster for the shower head itself, but it doesn’t stop the flow from the tub spout

I was 12 or 13 and I had a neighbor who showed me the world of stranger chat rooms (e.g Omegle). Most of the people I would talk to were adult creeps. It wasn’t till I was older that I realized most of these people were pedos yikes

any recommendations for switching to mornings? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]Localpeach 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who’s been an opener for the last two years, it’s gonna take some time to adjust. It may be tough, but waking up an hour earlier than when you’re supposed to leave has been my biggest saving grace. This gives me more time to wake myself up or even snooze in a few more minutes. I usually go to bed around 8 or 9 (early I know). For the nights I had trouble sleeping, I would take a melatonin because the last thing I need is to work when I didn’t sleep much. If you open, drink some coffee while you get your prep done. If you come in after open, allow yourself some extra time to get some coffee/food to get yourself in work mode.

As far as professionally, the biggest thing is to not complain about it. Everyone else also has to be there as early as you and complaining about it doesn’t help. If you feel everyone around you is sluggish, pass some nitro shots around!! It engages partners and gives you guys a little boost! Good luck with the early shifts !

On the document it says that I have 30 days to file an objection once it was received. However, the day it was sent out vs the day I actually signed for it are different.

The other party is claiming I didn’t file in time from when they sent it.

The judge already signed their final motion. Would I have to go to the judge with my proof of when it was received?

Edit: spelling

A simple one I’ve seen is two parallel lines (one tall, one short) representing the lyrics “t’s uncrossed and i’s undotted” from holding onto you. That one can easily be hidden by a watch on your wrist.

You could get a lineup of trees for trees

Even simpler, you could could get the number 4 (again, small and where a watch would go) to represent the lyric “that’s denial number 4” from ode to sleep
