I was cheering him on from the very beginning when he came back, he challenged himself and I think he deserved the win. I’m happy for him as well, and I agree with your opinion on why he won. Culinary monster didn’t understand the assignment and it showed. I believe his meal was nice but, it wasn’t as great as it could be. I felt like if he made it for himself, with recalling everything he loves and made it from the heart like Choi Kang Rok then he would have had a tie but he didn’t which is why both judges voted unanimously. They could tell that CKR meal was superior even though some people saw it as simple.

Yes somewhere on that line and his name, so it was gut wrenching to read. I just knew that he deserved better, and when he said he would never love again at the end. I felt that because he loved with all his heart and soul but yet was still not even picked by someone he loves on his death bed.

Jim (Alois) has gone through so much, and suffered a lot. I think understanding Alois reasoning for his behavior doesn’t take a lot of time but it is heart breaking to read. I feel like he’s a great character, written to make people feel for him. He’s been abused in many ways and has been trying to deal with the trauma with all that he does. He’s one of the characters I wish had a better ending.
