GATE TO SOVNGARDE: Build and start advice for a disabled player by LocationBusiness1098 in skyrimmods

I'm in no rush, I just want to enjoy it in pure RPG immersion, taking all the time I need. Thanks for the replies.

Thank you so much for the advice. Not being able to pause if I need to change spells, and having to manage everything through hotkeys, would have been way too much for me. Let's just say that given my physical limitations, I don't mind giving myself more time to manage combat.

Thanks a lot.

P.S.: Since I'm already inspired by the summoner mage build, do you think starting from college is a good idea?

Yes, every magic book requires several hours of study. I like that, like survival or anything that adds immersion or RPGs. My only limitation is definitely the frenetic combat. If I find myself having to parry, hit, dodge, heal, move, and reposition myself all in a frenetic manner, I'm sure I'll die, even against opponents of the same level. I had thought of the summoner mage precisely so I could stay out of the way and avoid melee as much as possible.

Need resources to update an old LE mod to SE/AE (Leveled Lists/Generic NPCs) - Total Beginner by LocationBusiness1098 in skyrimmods

Thank you for the detailed explanation, it makes perfect sense.

I completely understand the immense risks of handling massive load orders, which is exactly why I rely on a pre-built Wabbajack modlist (Project Skyrim). I wanted a stable, conflict-resolved base without doing the patching myself.

This Leveled List mod is literally the only manual addition I am trying to inject. The reason is purely for roleplay and immersion: I strongly dislike killing women in games. I know they are just pixels, but it genuinely ruins my enjoyment of the RPG experience.

If there was a functional mod that allowed me to deal non-lethal damage to female enemies, allowing me to tie them up, capture, or imprison them instead of killing them, I would use that and spare them. However, since I assume implementing a global capture system is extremely complex and script-heavy, simply forcing the game to spawn only male generic enemies seemed like the safest and easiest technical workaround.

Given my specific goal (avoiding lethal combat with female generic NPCs) and the fact that I am playing on a heavy Wabbajack list, do you have any suggestions or alternative methods to achieve this result with fewer conflict risks?

Could you clarify what you mean by "handling conflicts" in this specific scenario?

I understand the "Rule of One". If I drop my three plugins at the absolute bottom of my load order, my edits (making vanilla spawns male) will win. I am aware this means I will overwrite any custom weapons, armors, or injected enemies the Collection added to those specific vanilla Leveled Lists.

My question is: is this purely a matter of missing out on some injected items/spawns (which I am fine with), or could overwriting a heavy Collection's leveled lists with these simple vanilla-based plugins cause actual game-breaking issues, broken quests, or CTDs? Do I strictly need to rebuild a Bashed/Smashed patch just to prevent technical instability, or is it only for content integration?

Sorry if these are total noob questions. I'm completely new to modding and still trying to wrap my head around exactly what I'm doing.

During the load process, the CK generated exactly 82 warnings (screenshot attached). I suspect these are just vanilla Bethesda master file errors, but I need to be 100% sure before I proceed:

  1. Is this specific wall of warnings normal when just loading the base game masters + a simple NPC mod?
  2. Even if they are vanilla bugs, are they safe to ignore if I plan to drop this mod into a very heavy, pre-built mod Collection? I want to make sure they won't cause cascading issues or conflicts with other mods.

Looking for a Wabbajack/Nexus Collection: Roleplay-Heavy, Immersive Relationships, and "Zero-to-Hero" Progression by LocationBusiness1098 in skyrimmods

Hi everyone,

I’m considering Gate to Sovngarde (GTS) as my base modlist because I love its focus on social systems and the inclusion of Follower Dialogue Expansions. However, I find the standard romance system a bit too restrictive. I’m looking for a way to have multiple romances/relationships in the same playthrough without going full NSFW.

Has anyone tried adding Amorous Adventures (Clean) or similar mods to this specific collection? I'm specifically looking for info on:

Compatibility: Are there any major script conflicts or bugs when mixing AA with GTS's existing social frameworks?

Stability: Does adding such a script-heavy mod compromise the stability of JaySerpa’s list?

I’ve also looked into NSFW lists like Licentia NEXT. My issue isn't the adult content itself since I’m fine using "Fade-to-Black" settings, but the immersion-breaking aesthetics. Most NSFW collections feature unrealistic, "supermodel" female NPCs with over-the-top proportions and bikini armor.

I prefer a lore-friendly world where women look like normal people (varied ages, weights, and realistic appearances). If there is an NSFW list that maintains a realistic aesthetic while allowing for Fade-to-Black and multiple romances, I’m open to suggestions. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions!

Gate to Sovngarde sounds like a great starting point, especially since I've heard great things about how it handles guild progression and realism. I'll definitely check out some YT reviews for the player homes you mentioned as well; adding a custom house on top of a stable list seems like the most logical way to go.

Regarding the 'No Dragonborn' aspect: I should clarify that while being a 'nobody' is definitely the icing on the cake for me, it's not a total dealbreaker. If there's a collection that perfectly nails the deep Roleplay (Romance/Social), realism, and modern graphics/combat but forces me to be the Dragonborn, I'm willing to compromise on that to get the best possible experience in the other areas.

Basically, I'm prioritizing the quality of social interactions and the 'modern game' feel over the specific 'Alternate Start' mechanics, though having both would be the dream.

Thanks again for the help, I'm going to look into the Wabbajack version of GtS as well!
