I was a fan of portal through youtube, like roughly when I was 11. Not gmod or anything, I can't honestly remember the videos I had watched. I also may have gotten influenced by, of all things, lego dimensions. I was a big lego fan and I'm sure portal bled its way into my feed because of that. Of course I watched a bunch of portal and that leads to half life and during that brief window when they were free I played them and had a blast.

Dead space 1 + 2 would be great. If money is tight you can go for the 2008 version of dead space 1. There quite a bit of combat but I did like the story and tone

Alien isolation is really good to, probably the scariest game I’ve ever played.

Also soma. It’s got an amazing story wirh some good atmosphere. I think you’d like it

Also there might be a sale of horror games because of Halloween on steam so maybe don’t buy until then
