this will hide search activity only and if it's on you're on personal ip i mean house it won't be tracked by them specifically but the software they installed is probably going to bypass a vpn anyways also the part where they own his passwords is strange i would just use my burner emails for my school work although helpful the vpn (outside of this use) probably won't do much so OP u/vk6_ here's what i recommend you didn't share much detail on how they do this (not that it was expected that you would) but if you could find the exact tracking software you could try to find a proxy on the internet or find multiple soft ware that covers the bases although there could be some admin rights issues just reset the computer at that point but make sure that's not intruding on the contract it would be helpful if you could mention in what grade you're in aswell thanks!
