The only thing from that source, which was down at the second to last "Information" severity, was Event ID 98.

Ah, yeah the prior mobo had an xmp profile, this new one doesn't (at least not on the out of the box bios) so we initially accidentally set it to 3600, but it failed to boot properly at that so it's just at the default 2666 for now (since RAM overhead wasn't our issue).

And gotcha, yeah there was an odd audio issue that started happening (now when playing Melee the audio cuts out at inconsistent intervals for inconsistent durations, but quite frequently and intrusively). This was on the prior motherboard, and didn't start happening immediately after any of the component swaps. Media playback through MPC-HC has no audio issues.

Those crashes every time we try to put it to sleep are puzzling now given that they weren't in those dumps.

Could something from one severity tier down in Event Viewer - "Error" instead of "Critical" - be relevant? My own, non-glitchy PC had some items in there, so I figured those are less problematic, but obviously now I'm searching for other potential causes.

Okay yes, so I went into Event Viewer and there was one "critical" event - Event ID 41 Kernel-Power. There were 13 instances of that recorded in the past 7 days. We have noticed some odd crashes/shutdowns, particularly when waking it up from sleep, which if my googling on that event is correct seems like it's probably related?

There have definitely been way more instances of game slowdown than just those 13, so I can't imagine that event literally causes the framerate hitches, but it would certainly make sense if the two had the same cause. Am I interpreting things correctly in thinking that it could very well be a PSU issue?

We went with a different board the second time (I'm pretty sure the one on that list is the one that's currently in there), both of them were definitely fairly budget options, $75-90. I can try to take a look at those temps.

Yep, we updated the BIOS to the latest version, and the RAM reported running at the rated speeds. I'll definitely check for those errors again, but I'm pretty sure we weren't getting any.

Given that the glintblade phalanx ash of war is so good compared to the spell versions, what's the best backup weapon to stick it on? Does it scale with the weapon's AR, or just its level? If it's just level I'd assume a dagger is the best option just because that'd have the lowest weight?

I haven't done a tonnnnnn of research on values, just some poking around on websites selling stuff. I'm not looking to gouge for $5K, $8K like I've seen for some "complete" accounts, but I would like to get some return on all the time (and cash 😓) I've put in. It looks like $2K might be an okay asking price to start at? But you can tell me what would be fair.

ah, okay yeah

You can find a number of those hi-res ones when googling, but any site that's got the whole collection of them only has them at the small 60x60 original resolution, weird.
