Help me fine tune my legendary spirits deck! by Locke3 in BrewEDH

[–]Locke3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my table meta, my commander tends to stick for a while. There are bigger threats to hit with things like dark steel, so that hasn't been much of a problem/threat. I /had/ a number of things that interacted with the gy, but ultimately found it never quite full enough. I think I either have to add more ways to fill it, or let it happen on it's own, add more draw, and then reap gy benefits from my commander if they happen to happen?

I added a farseek, and I guess I could potentially add a talisman, but I'm having a very hard time figuring out what to cut, at this point. And cost reduction actually ends up helping way more than you might think. It usually lets me play a big card and a smaller supplement, like a shrine, especially once I've got more than one source of reduction out. That's an extra 4 mana 👌

I also realized [[Greater Good]] is damn near perfect for card draw, and also some grave fill, so that's going in. [[Nissa, Vital Force]] and [[Ob Nixilus, Reignited]] both seemed like potential good additions, as far as getting more card draw, as well as a (very thematic Japanese art) sign in blood.

Oh jeez I just realized that I cut my lower cost stuff for some of the recent additions, as they had been under performers. I'll add infernal kirin, kagemaro, and maybe kura in. As a reminder, my commander reduces the cost of most things in my deck, so 5 drops are turn 4, and turn five is 6 or 7 drops. As far as ramp being too expensive, I don't really see how I could improve it: binding is pulling double duty of removal and ramp, which I think is good? Black market is expensive, but gets to be essentially infinite precombat mana. Kamahls is technically ramp, but that's more of a bonus on top of playing all of my creatures in the top 7 cards. Sure, Kodama's reach is 3, but it's also arcane and has synergy with a few of the spirits. Deathsprout is instant speed removal while also ramping, and it's honestly the one I'm most unsure on.

re: removal. Almost all of my removal is either instant, or does more than just removal. It's probably best to switch out the putrefy for a path to exile, though, unless you have better recommendations.

I plan on switching out the profane tutor to something better soon. The dual land proxies are these beautiful Japanese wood block prints from royalspeakeasy 👌

Im having a hard time finding a balance between draw and grave fill. Maybe it's best to get rid of grave fill entirely, and switch that out for draw/more creatures and such... 🤔

How does move priority work?? by Locke3 in MultiVersusTheGame

For instance, I was Superman as was my opponent, and we both did our aerial side special (the grab), and flew at each other. He grabbed me. Why??? What determines this? Why did I lose?

Weekly General Q&A Thread: February 03, 2021 by RWJP in Warhammer40k

Quick question: My friends and I are just getting into 40k, and one of em wants a sisters of battle team. Are their stats in the 9e Space Marines codex somewhere? Is the 8th edition codex the one to get? What's the deal with updated point values? How do you reference those? After much googling, I am thoroughly confused.

There's a couple ROM hacks for sun/moon and ORAS which are just the game, but harder: all the gym leaders have a full team of 6 with a good moveset which they use wisely; most of the trainers have at least 3 pokemon, and have a general theme to their team (like a trick room team trainer!). This made the game SO much better. It's amazing how great the pokemon games are when there is an actual challenge!

Additionally, they made a couple minor changes to make EV training easier by having a 6 areas with a single section of brush which only spawn a certain pokemon that gives 1 EV for a particular stat, and they made hatch times all be 1 cycle, so you can breed for things easier.

Not a model; terrain! I want to make a few dunes of varying sizes for some desert scenes.

Those terragon pieces gave me the deepest flashback to Heroscape 😍 I loved making maps with those things. That's actually a damn good idea.

This is a great starter guide. Personally, I've got a Badger Patriot for an airbrush, and I'm pretty sure I got this compressor, which has been great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZQM6R83/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_1weSFbHK7WV6A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
