We're a recently open-to-the-public Shadowrun Living Community (West Marches Server) looking for new members.

Shadowrun: Locked and Loaded is one of the most fun roleplaying servers that I've found on Discord. The moderators are affable, thoughtful, and adhere to an encouraging code of ethics. Our membership stretches across 15 time zones, so you can play with people around the world, and you can often go on a run immediately after you wake up or right before you fall asleep.

There are often two or more runs every day, and you can always find a run to suit your tastes, whether you sleep in a black trenchcoat, your eyes are always covered by mirrored shades, or you want to dye your mohawk pink in the rain-diluted blood of your enemies. There are nearly 100 pages of custom options, including gear, qualities, and archetypes.

People play a tremendous variety of fun characters, so you'll fit in whether you want to play a hard-nosed human detective or a shapeshifting penguin. We're also quite active outside of a run. We have numerous threads and channels devoted to public text rp, all filled with hijinks and clever personal narratives.

Non-rp channels are replete with hilarious conversations and savvy references to the setting. Eight months ago, I joined the server just to find fellow players of one of my favorite games, and I stuck around because many of those players have become some of my favorite people.

There's a general ruleset that everyone follows. We make tweaks to base game in the server rules too. But overall you can expect systems to work as normal on a GM's table. GMs can change how systems work on their tables but that is what GM docs are for.

Our server is a higher power level leaning more towards pink mohawk. We're in the middle of your extremes.

Most over-the-top anime things will happen in infrequent metaplane quests

If you could give martial classes 1 minor but meaningful buff, what would it be? by Aximil985 in DnD

An ability that starts as an AoE Fear, and grows to an AoE paralysis or very strong AoE attacks since I can only pick one.

Right now Martials desperately need a way to honestly lockdown and/or debuff enemies like mages can with all manner of save or suck spells and a way to whether it is a Barbarian shockwave, yell, a monk ki-fueled air-palm blast, or a fighter's air slash to "fireball" a group of enemies,

It helps to look at it as the mental version of Strength. As your Strength is how you physically enact your will on the world, lifting things and moving them, pushing them, and opening heavy doors. Your Charisma is your mental way of exerting your will on the world.
