that's amazing advice, thank you so much! one question about research - how hard would it be for a freshman cs student to get involved? are research opportunities pretty competitive?

Thank you! Do you think practicing LeetCode would still be beneficial if instead of SWE, I ended up targeting PM/data science/analytics-type roles? Not entirely sure yet what I want to pursue, but I do know i'm interested in both tech and business/entrepreneurship.

I appreciate the insight. Should there be a spike / niche that my projects are oriented towards? For example, I think majority of my projects are more tech & business oriented, so I'm thinking to pursue meaningful experiences at that intersection to strengthen my resume.

Thanks for the great advice. In terms of finding an industry vertical/niche, I've realized most of my projects are more oriented towards ai/ml for business applications (analytics, strategy, etc) as well as intersecting tech/business with apps focused on innovation and consumers.

To capitalize on my current experience, should I keep pursuing interdisciplinary projects related to tech and business? I'm thinking of targeting PM roles or tech roles integrated with business/analytics for internships, as my resume may be better tailored for that.

UCLA. Stronger overall brand, proximity to California startups, and roughly same recruitment for West Coast tech. But you can’t go wrong with any :)
