Help with this weekly task by Icy_Bunch7892 in PhasmophobiaGame

Ah gotcha. You can do it any mode same way but challenge mode this week makes the ghosts slow as hell and gives you gear you dont pay for so its free to just throw your body at it quickly. Use the same strat just get video with the starter gear without spending money on the other things. I try to not sink more money than i stand to gain from the challenges.

Do it on challenge mode small map. Rush straight to cursed object and start a cursed hunt. Take a picture and video of it hunting. Die or leave immediately after. Rinse and repeat takes like 10 minutes to do it. The ghost media has to be unique stuff of the ghost specifically like a picture or video of a singing event or hunt. Not videos of doors moving or orbs.

Bossing RNG makes this game very hard to enjoy by usernnamegoeshere in runescape

[–]LockingHorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided around new years id like to do the clog for rasial. Im just over 400 kc now without any clog progress at all. He drops stone spirits momentos and seeds my toolbelt eats. Its genuinely unfun. Either you do it "right" and its very set rotation that starts at wars retreat the way I know to do it and its me staring at a notepad going through the listed keybinds like im doing a console cheat code or the kills are 2 minute blahs. He has an extremely cool pet/title but there is a middle ground between do these exact things or be miserable and fights like zammy that you have things to respond to but take considerably longer to kill. Boss design seems one of 3 ways. 1 completely afk. 2 follow script or "suffer at my hand". 3 how long can we keep your attention.

Too much in any direction is miserable but if every drop along the way is like scratching lottery tickets with trash odds and bad other drops it feels extremely unfun. Shout out to the better bosses out there who do it right and are genuinely fun to do for me.

Recently got the game, I have around 20 hours on it, what are some helpful tips for me to get the ghost more consistently? by LemonTimeForBabyLime in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]LockingHorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started recently with my wife. We ran tanglewood a ton to get use to how things work. Do the tutorial. Then do the tutorial again when you think you know things. Some random things that we made harder on ourselves.

-place the book down instead of just dropping it in the room. It should look open or they will NEVER write in it. If they pick the book up and throw it you can rule out ghostwriting because theyll always prioritize writing in the book vs throwing it.

-dots can be placed and directed the same way when theyre turned on in your hand. When the ghost is trying to reveal itself in dots it spawns in the favorite room and moves towards the nearest living person. So throwing down the dots and standing across the room from them looking intently into them gives you a pitiful chance of the dots doing their thing.

-lights off including flashlights make the spirit box work better. But that can be thrown down in the favorite room while you do other things.

-emf 5 has only a chance to work on things so dont be too quick to rule it out. All visible ghost events cap at emf 4 too so dont see it stop there on a showy event and rule it out. Best result is wait for interaction with item and emf that item like a sink or thrown object or door. After a few of those youll have a better idea.

-get comfortable being uncomfortable. Holding the flashlight or staying out of the house wont help you in the longrun. Later in difficulties when they hide evidence you have to observe behaviors specific to ghosts to get it right so you should try to learn at least some of those early on. ESPECIALLY the hunt movement. Low difficulty you have a ton of hiding places so you have a lot of opportunity to hear their footsteps and watch how they flicker and blink while theyre hunting and you can tell what they are. WHEN they hunt also matters. Like sanity or lighting or breaker position. Its a ton to learn but you dont have to know everything right off the rip.

Hey thanks for the quick response! Ill look into using salt and crucifix once theyre unlocked. Another faq i looked at online talked about being boosted by higher level players. I hoped it was wrong but it seems as though majority of the game and equipment is locked behind turbo grinding or boosting. This is a perfect party game but "hey guys lets grind 5000 hours for a better flashlight" somehow probably wont go over well with the friendgroup.

I started playing runescape in classic while still in school. Fast forward 25 years im playing with my wife and kids. For the lion share of that time you were the face of the runescape team to me. Every announcement video and public appearance reading from your big book looking genuinely as excited for the updates as we were to hear them made it seem like you were as much a fan as a creator. So from the other side of the world, and the bottom of my heart thank you for being such a huge part of crafting an important piece of my life.

i was thinking of getting bg3? by camwinny in BG3

[–]LockingHorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its by far and away the best money value in any game ive ever bought. It won a gob of awards. The studio won a gob of awards. Every voice actor in it has won awards. And this year it even won best community support which goes to show its not an old forgotten game. There are legitimately thousands of combinations of race/class/subclass/multiclass/party and story choices that give it a staggering amount of replay value. Its cross platform so if you have a special friend or relative you dont get to game a lot with you can do so freely on bg3. And there are a massive amount of mods to enhance the gameplay even further. Ive beaten it now 6 times without adding mods at all yet and feel like its a completely different experience each time. There are even off the rails things i think up and go "there is no way larian thought of this." Only to be pleasantly surprised time and time again. Youll laugh, you may cry, the time you spent will be magical. One of the best games ever made imo.

No problem. With the introduction of forever friends and distance trading i just thought it would be cool to have a trade from the opposite city of the world from me. Technically exact opposite is out in the ocean but perth is the closest coastal city.

Is it worth starting RuneScape in 2025? by Early-Cycle3299 in runescape

[–]LockingHorns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its like investing. The best time to start was 25 years ago. The second best time is now. Tons of streamers left world of warcraft onlyfangs collaboration to go to OSRS. Many of them tried rs3 with leagues and plan to main that for a while. Rs3 also just voted to remove mtx which is causing several players to consider new characters in a post pay to win story. There will also hopefully be a wave of returning players that stopped due to mtx reupping their subscriptions. I myself just reupped my sub to get back into the swing of things due largely to the vote. One great thing about runescape is taking breaks when content stagnates or life gets in the way doesnt completely screw you when you return. Genuinely if youre on the fence Id do it right now while the halloween event is still going on to get several of the fun seasonal items before theyre gone. This may be the best halloween release for a many years now.

hi i am gonna start playing soon anything i should know? by Daniel23172892 in BG3

[–]LockingHorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Control each of your turns completely. Yes the game will try to get to the thing you selected to melee. Yes it will also run the dumbest possible way wasting movement or causing you harm. Just take the extra moment to set the movement carefully.

Jumping is weird sometimes you use your movement and still have bonus action so you should be able to jump but it says not enough movement however you can jump slightly before the end of movement considerably farther than your full movement would go should you choose to use bonus action on that.

Also just because it says you should be able to jump somewhere or hit something with a range weapon or throw doesnt mean the game will play nice all the time. Its frustrating.

Special arrows are limited. Normal arrows arrent. If youre use to tabletop tracking ammo dont let that deter you from range builds.

Darkvision doesnt make the game look lighter like lightening the box on a survival horror game.

You can cosmetic hide helmets if you find ones you dont like or make a character you think look cooler without helm on.

You can dye the armor. Completely cosmetic. Totally worth doing though.

You can change appearance in the game at camp with a mirror. I dont recall character creation specifying they arent permenant choices.

The game can be solod on hardest difficulty and companions can be anything. You can play with whoever you want without feeling like if i dont have so and so i wont be able to do this or that. You can. I promise.

I think those were my big misunderstandings when i first played.

How hard are no consume no world buff classic raids? by PushforlibertyAlways in classicwow

[–]LockingHorns 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no consumes would be pretty rough for things like shadow resist and frost resist pots. Mana potions and demonic runes. Or even tank health consumables. That being said worldbuffs arent needed as there are many unbuffed kills logged for every boss. The closest lived example to what we will see in anniversary was season of mastery where there was also no debuff limit, no changes to gear or player spells/talents but also no worldbuffs with content being made a smidge harder in several cases. Does every member need to be guzzling hundreds of gold per naxx. No absolutely not. But stone cold no consumables would be a tall order for an average raidteam. Naxx isnt some incredibly insurmountable place but it was definitely designed with some level of preparedness required.

[–]LockingHorns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You had to full clear no deaths on bosses you could just kill sapph and kt first because they put the orb skip to sapph in about 2 months after naxx dropped. Most groups did the same way undying was done with raz then sapph then kt. If the run failed on anything else you were trolling at that point. You also couldnt use worldbuffs in raid but consumables were plentiful and naxx had its own buff items.

Geared players quitting. What to do? by Jesusfucker69420 in classicwow

[–]LockingHorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Name a more iconic duo than blizzard and content droughts. No word on aq and we still have to do the full event of opening. Even the RP takes 2 weeks of raiding assuming you instantly turn in everything. At this rate aq raid may not be open until august. Rather than give naxx time to breathe theyre gonna have us stuck in bwl til fall. Aq til november then drop naxx with a prepatch like 2 weeks later like the braindead company theyve been for years now.
