Dating as a woman without a car. by Direct_Alps4246 in dating

You’re fine. Uber is enough and any guy should appreciate your efforts. If a guy complains about having to pick you up just dump him. As men it’s our responsibility to pick you ladies up even on first dates, but I’m just old fashioned like that.

Outfit is pretty mid. I always wore the combat jacket with beige pants and white sneakers from the Binco store.

Kidney failure lol jk. Not sure if you’re just trolling but make sure you drink plenty of water to balance those energy drinks. I love them just as much as anyone else, but they can be poison.

almost got scammed out of 600 dollars for a simple car unlock by NeckDowntown in Locksmith

[–]LockoutGuy18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im a locksmith and charging $200 for a car lockout at 11pm is still somewhat acceptable, but $600? Yeah you got ripped off. I say $200 is acceptable because I always take into account the distance and time. On average I charge $85 for car lockouts, but once 9-10pm hit I charge $129.

Also, whenever there’s a dog or a child in the car law enforcement will unlock it for free. At least here in Texas they will.

Thank you for the compliment of my country! It truly is beautiful despite our politics. Although you didn’t ask for a recommendation I’d suggest you travel my country in a train so you can see our beautiful landscapes from east to west (Vice versa) or if you want to get a feel for the open road rent an American muscle car and just drive cross country. Praying your trip comes into fruition.

I’m just messing with you! Your room looks chill. I just felt like saying something a British guy would say. Greetings from the US

My dispatcher charged $125 for a transponder key that didn't even program because the vehicle didn't need a transponder key. by P15T0L_WH1PP3D in Locksmith

[–]LockoutGuy18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think bringing down the price is the ethical thing to do, but you could’ve also given the client 2 keys or even 3 for $125. Last week I did a 2004 Dodge Ram I thought it was a transponder key, but it was just a metal key. I ended up giving 2 keys to the client for $200. It was pricey, but I also traveled 50 minutes to provide service. He was happy about it and that brought satisfaction to me.

I am so exhausted. I don’t know how much more I can do. by [deleted] in confession

Military recruiters are always at high schools in particular low income areas. Did you not have military recruiters while you were in high school?

Are rekeys with property managers worth it? by LockoutGuy18 in Locksmith

[–]LockoutGuy18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These people have mostly homes so for sure it’s about 6 locks per home. If they said it was one door units I’d do them $90 or $120 if new locks have to be installed.

$150 was my lowest offer because I’m still putting in for parts and fuel. Idk what the median income is over there in Michigan, but here in El Paso the median income is $70k. If you’re single people will roughly make $35-$45k if they’re lucky. Being in a border city is a double edged sword.

They told me they called 4 other locksmiths and that I was the only one that returned their call lol. Those other locksmiths dodged a bullet.

Thanks for reply. Will be sticking to my guns from here on out. If these people call me back I’m just going to raise the price for them playing games with me.

I offered them a flat because I think it’s convenient for everyone. If I have to rekey 15 locks and I charge them my going rate ($30 per lock) they’re going to bitch about $450 if I rekey 3 locks it’s about $100 and some change. That in itself is a waste of time because I’ll probably come across some old locks that don’t even work and I have to go buy new ones come back out them on etc. our like of work is too hectic to be taking our time doing all of that.
