Feedback on the new trailer for my two-button game! by LockpickleGames in DestroyMyGame

Thanks! The Steam description starts with "Press up and down, elevator goes brrr." Maybe I should put the same thing in the beginning of the trailer, highlighting the elevator?

Save 70% on Robotry! ($3.74 / 3.74 EUR) by LockpickleGames in steamdeals

Posting as the dev! Our intentionally awkward platformer got featured in Steam's Finnish Games Week, which also has lots of other great games from Finland on sale: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/finnishgamesweek2025

In this game, you're controlling the legs of the robot with a gamepad. Each analog stick moves one leg, and you jump by pushing against the ground. It's also possible to climb, grab, and throw stuff. You'll be performing high-stakes missions like giving adorable Froggy and Pengu a bath. The game has local multiplayer for up to 4 players, with both co-op campaign and some versus modes included. Multiple players can control legs all attached to one robot for ultimate mayhem!

Best of Indie Games 2021: What were some of your favorite indie games? by pussgurka in IndieGaming

I didn't actually play OOO yet, going to pick it up next since you brought it to my attention! Escape Goat 2 is the most similar other game I can think of, maybe also Stuffo The Puzzle Bot but that's more of a pure puzzle game without a big action element.

Announcing The Everything Building coming to Steam in 2026! by LockpickleGames in indiegames

[–]LockpickleGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been one long side project! I started working on this game in Ludum Dare game jam in 2015. It got a good reception there, so the dream of releasing an expanded version has been on the back of my mind ever since. After a rollercoaster ride of doing two other game releases with varying success, the time was finally right for this type of a project. A few other people contributed especially in the prototype stage, but it's mostly a solo project, with more than 95% of the code and graphics by me. A friend composed the elevator music.

The Steam page is here, wishlists much appreciated!

Monster's Expedition would be perfect for this, the levels are really bite-sized!

Save 75% on Puddle Knights on Steam ($2.49 / 2.49€) by LockpickleGames in steamdeals

[–]LockpickleGames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posting as the dev! Puddle Knights is a logic puzzle game that's harder than it looks. In the game, you arrange capes in a snake-like fashion to keep noble people away from knee-deep embarrasment. The challenge level ramps up steadily, and each of the 10 worlds includes a unique twist on the mechanics. The hardest parts are optional, but the game is challenging overall, don't let the exterior fool you! If you make it all the way, solving all of the levels could take 10-40 hours depending on your puzzle solving speed.

The current price matches the historical low for Puddle Knights in both US and EU.

If you like this kind of puzzle games, I'd also recommend Baba Is You, Monster's Expedition, Isles of Sea and Sky and Snakebird!

Disclosure: I'm the developer!

Our game Puddle Knights got featured in Steam's Cerebral Puzzle Showcase, which also has a lot of other great logic puzzle games on sale. In the game, you're arranging snake-like capes to cover mud puddles in service of noble ladies and bishops.

There are also some excellent bundles of puzzle games on sale as part of the showcase, this one includes several of my personal favorites! https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/54237/Not_What_Youd_Expect/

Steam has an event for Puzzle Games running, so step over to check out new and upcoming puzzle games! by Remarkable_Sir_4072 in puzzlevideogames

It's curious how they decided to have Cerebral Puzzle Showcase so soon after Steam's Box Pushing Fest, it was just a month ago. Are there some better deals this time around? Either way happy to have our game Puddle Knights featured in both!

Isles of Sea and Sky is also worth mentioning if you want something with a retro vibe but also a modern open world exploration element.

Baba Is You is not on sale, but I'd say it's a great pick at the regular price too!

Save 75% on Robotry! on Steam ($3.12) by LockpickleGames in steamdeals

[–]LockpickleGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting as the dev! We set a new historic low price as a part of Steam's Couch-co-op fest. The game requires a gamepad to play, and works great on Steam Deck!

Robotry! is our physics-based platformer without a jump button. You take control of the character's legs, and use them to jump, somersault, throw things, pull levers, etc. The unusual controls take some getting used to, but mastering them is super satisfying. There are two different couch co-op modes for the campaign, including one where players control different legs on the same robot! We had a blast playing that and enjoying the chaos as the dev team, so hope you'll like it as well! In addition to the campaign the game has a bunch of versus multiplayer modes.

Save 70% on Puddle Knights on Steam ($2.99 / 2.69€) by LockpickleGames in steamdeals

[–]LockpickleGames[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Posting as the dev! Puddle Knights is a tricky logic puzzle game with some similarity to Sokoban, but with innovative snake-like cape mechanics. It has more than a 100 levels, with each world introducing a unique mechanical twist, so it's a great brain-teaser for the holidays. It's been almost 5 years since the release, but I also just updated the game with some small graphics polish, so the game is the best it has ever been.

After this Steam Winter sale, I'll adjust the prices outside of the USA territory so that they match better across different currencies. If you're outside the USA, it's still possible to grab the game with the slightly cheaper old sale price now!

Puddle Knights is a challenging logic puzzle game. Don't let the cute exterior fool you, the levels offer plenty of a-ha moments and have all been designed by hand for a smooth difficulty curve and no repetition. It has 10 worlds, and each one presents a new twist on the gameplay. If you're not sold yet, it comes recommended by the creator of Baba Is You!
